2019年度雅思口語考試基本遵循了季度換題的規律，周期性較之去年沒有變化，所以預測2020年的換題也不會發生意外的太大改變。每1年的1月、5月以及9月是考試換題季，因此在這3個月份的第1場，甚至到第3場都有更新，幅度通常為：「剔除30-50% 左右的舊題目，同時增加 30%-50% 的新題目，更換的內容大約是一半。」更換的概念是：本季度的題目和上一季度的不同即為新題。
新題的來源有三種：
老題重現：即以前考過的口語題目
老題翻新：有部分題目經過改造後出現在新一輪的考試題目中
全新題目：這些題目是雅思官方新出的題目
Part 1 部分 ：
多以日常生活類話題為主，是考生比較熟悉的話題，也能緩解考面試緊張，但是需要大家平時注意總結不同題型的答題方法，相關話題的詞彙量保證在5000左右，同時還要注意小概率出現的較難且抽象的話題，需要大家重點關注。
Part 2部分 ：
物品類和事件類話題比重較大，而人物類和地點類的題目在逐步減少，說明雅思考官對學生的事件/事物的描述以及整體敘述的邏輯思維能力的看重，那平時練習口語的時候一定要注意自己的口語表達邏輯，重點關注物品類和事件類話題。

3.Describe a picture or photograph you like in your room
4.Describe an experience that you enjoyed an indoor game
5.Describe a school you went to in your childhood
6.Describe a place you remember well that is full of colors
7.Describe an occasion when you got up early
8.Describe an experience that the vehicle you took broke down in your travel
9.Describe a person who is good at his or her job
10.Describe a toy you got in your childhood
11.Describe something you lost but got back
12.Describe a time you watched the sky
13.Describe a time you enjoyed a free day off work or school
14.Describe an occasion when you met someone for the first time
15.Describe something useful you borrowed from others
