Soldiers, Sailors, and Airmen of the Allied Expeditionary Force!
You are about to embark upon the Great Crusade, toward which we have striven these many months. The eyes of the world are upon you. The hopes and prayers of liberty-loving people everywhere march with you. In company with our brave Allies and Brothers-in-arms on other Fronts, you will bring about the destruction of the German war machine, the elimination of Nazi tyranny over the oppressed peoples of Europe, and security for ourselves in a free world.
Your task will not be an easy one. Your enemy is well-trained, well-equipped, and battle-hardened. He will fight savagely.

然後是介詞of引導的從屬關係：

各位聯合遠徵軍的海陸空戰士們！
You are about to embark upon the Great Crusade,
這有三個注意的措辭和表達：
首先，be about to do sth.，表示「即將、立刻、馬上要做某事」，在時間上指的是「最近的將來」；而be going to do sth.，雖然也可以表示「即將做某事」，但是be going to突出的只是一個計劃和打算，並沒有迫切馬上去做的意思；
其次，embark作動詞表示「上船或飛機」，用在這裡非常適合這次登陸行動的語境；同時embark也可以表示「著手、開始做某事」，所以這個詞在這裡是一個一箭雙鵰的用法；
第三，Crusade這個詞來自cross（十字架），早期指的是「十字軍東徵」，後來作名詞有了「鬥爭、運動」，尤其指的是「長期堅定不移的鬥爭」。
這句話整體也就是說：你們即將踏上一次偉大的戰鬥，
緊接著是一個定語從句來修飾前面的crusade（戰鬥）：
toward which對於這場戰鬥
we have striven these many months.這幾個月來我們一直在努力。
The eyes of the world are upon you.全世界的眼睛都在你們身上。
The hopes and prayers希望和祈禱
誰的希望和祈禱呢？
of liberty-loving people everywhere世界各地熱愛自由的人們（的希望和祈禱）
march with you.
march作動詞，「行軍、前進」。這句話連起來：各地熱愛自由的人們的希望和祈禱和你們共同前行。
In company with our brave Allies and Brothers-in-arms on other Fronts,
in company with sb.，表示「和某人結伴、會同」。會同誰呢？這裡寫了兩類人，第一是our brave Allies（我們勇敢的盟友），指的是當晚聯合登陸諾曼第的以英美兩國軍隊為主力的盟軍先頭部隊；第二是Brothers-in-arms on other Fronts，brothers-in-arms的字面意思是「胳膊互相交叉在一起的兄弟們」，在戰場上指的是「兄弟連」；同時，on other Fronts指的是「在其它前線上的」，這裡指的是除諾曼第登陸外其它各地同時跟德軍作戰的同盟國戰士們。
you will bring about the destruction of the German war machine,
bring about表示「導致、帶來」。這裡的字面意思是說：你們將帶來德國戰爭機器的毀滅，漢語理解成：你們將摧毀德國的戰爭機器
還會帶來什麼呢？然後是兩個並列的名詞短語：
the elimination of Nazi tyranny納粹暴政的消滅
在哪裡的暴政呢？
over the oppressed peoples of Europe, 凌駕於歐洲受壓迫的人民之上（的暴政），
and security for ourselves in a free world. 以及對於我們在一個自由世界的安全。
簡而言之，就是說：你們將摧毀德國的武力，消滅納粹的暴政，為自由世界的人民帶來安全。
Your task will not be an easy one.你們的任務將不會簡單。
Your enemy is well-trained,你們的敵人訓練有素，
well-equipped,裝備精良，
and battle-hardened. 身經百戰。
hard是形容詞「硬的、艱苦的」；harden作動詞，表示「使變硬、使堅固」；battle-hardened指的是「通過戰爭而變得堅硬的」，也就是「身經百戰」的。
He will fight savagely. 他會野蠻地戰鬥
這裡用He來統一指代enemy（敵人）。
