14年前的4月1日，時年46歲的張國榮離開了我們，從此愚人節多了一層意義。
斯人已逝，我們仍在哥哥的電影和歌聲裡，獲得快樂，獲得感動，獲得溫暖，獲得啟發…
你或許看過哥哥的《霸王別姬》，《倩女幽魂》，《阿飛正傳》，《春光乍洩》，《東邪西毒》….
你或許聽過哥哥的《我》，《風繼續吹》，《當愛已成往事》，《沉默是金》，《當年情》….
但你聽過哥哥的英文演講和英文歌嗎？
1969年，哥哥獨自赴英國留學；中學畢業後，愛好時裝設計的他考入英國裡茲大學就讀紡織專業。大學一年級時，父親突然中風，張國榮返回香港，學業就此中斷。
在這個特別的日子裡，我們把哥哥2000年出任「CASH音樂形象大使」時的英文演講，和哥哥演唱的英文歌Good Morning Sorrow做成音頻，讓我們一起致敬，緬懷哥哥！

I'm not very good in words so I have to put it all in black and white.
我不擅於言辭，所以準備了講稿。
Mr. Barnett and all the guests of honour,
尊敬的Barnett先生和各位來賓：
I am honoured to have been made CASH Ambassador. Music is a very important part in any culture and I am sure all of us here will agree that we must keep our culture alive and thriving. This is particularly important for a place like Hong Kong, where most people are busy working for money and fame, culture will help us maintain a balance of lives.
我很榮幸被選為CASH音樂大使。音樂是任何一種文化的重要組成部分，相信在座每一位都會同意，我們必須保持文化的繁榮興旺。尤其在香港這樣一個地方，人們都在忙於追逐名利，文化可以幫助保持生活的平衡。
Because of this belief, I, who have not been properly trained in music, have for years been trying my best to promote music, not just by singing and performing, but also by creating tunes and writing lyrics for songs. I enjoy doing this and I think that, in a small way, I am contributing to the music and the culture of Hong Kong. I also believe that it is important for artist to be creative and so I have been working hard to create new ways of entertaining and even setting new trends.
基於這個信念，雖然沒有經過音樂的專業訓練，我一直盡己所能地推廣音樂，不僅唱歌表演，也作曲作詞。我很喜歡這些工作，我想這也是我在為香港的音樂和文化作一點貢獻。我也相信，對於藝術工作者來說，創新是必不可少的。因此，我一直努力創造新的娛樂形式，並嘗試引導新的潮流。
My recent concerts which have been described as controversial are examples of my efforts in this direction. They have attracted many favourable comments as well as some criticisms. I think that is fine and I will continue to be creative. I know all of you will approve and do the same. Thank you!
例如我最近的演唱會（指2000年的熱情演唱會）就是這樣的嘗試，這個演唱會被人描述為「充滿爭議的」，有人讚揚，也引來批評。我覺得這樣很好，我還會繼續努力。我相信這點上你們都會贊同，也會同樣努力。謝謝！
Last but not the least, music is our profession and our livelihood and the works we have created should be protected from piracy. Unfortunately, advanced information technology has helped aggregate this situation, causing many problems and threatening the livelihood of many artists. I wish to use this opportunity to call upon all the artists to unite in a campaign against piracy. In fact, I consider this one of the most important missions for the CASH Ambassador and I will dedicate my effort to this.
最後想說的是，音樂是我們的職業和謀生手段，我們的勞動成果應該受到保護。令人遺憾的是，先進的信息技術加劇了盜版現象，帶來許多問題並威脅到藝術工作者的生計。我希望借這個機會，呼籲我們所有的藝術工作者聯合起來，反對盜版。我也把這個作為CASH音樂大使的其中一項重要的使命，並將致力於此。
