為什麼做這個：因為非常非常非常喜歡！但是小時候閱讀的是中文版，未免有一點遺憾。所以現在嘗試英文原著，並以自己的語言嘗試理解和翻譯這個故事。
推文會分為音頻、原文和翻譯三個部分。
錄音部分模仿了英國演員Stephen Fry的英式發音；
原文部分由於篇幅有限，所以將完整的章節劃分成為了幾個部分（如本篇為：Perfectly Normal)；
翻譯部分則是在自己意譯一遍後，再參考小時候看的馬氏姐妹翻譯版本進行一些修改。

CHAPTER ONE
THE BOY WHO LIVED
Part one
Perfectly normal*
①Mr. and Mrs. Dursley, of number four, Privet Drive, were proud to say that they were perfectly normal, thank you very much. They were the last people you'd expect to be involved in anything strange or mysterious, because they just didn't hold with such nonsense.
住在女貞路四號的德思禮一家，可以很得意地說他們是在這個星球上最最正常的人了，謝天謝地！同樣，他們也是最最不可能與機靈古怪、神秘的事情相牽連的人，因為！他們的腦子根本就沒有給這種胡說八道的東西留下哪怕一毫米的位置。
②Mr. Dursley was the director of a firm called Grunnings, which made drills. He was a big, beefy man with hardly any neck, although he did have a very large mustache.
③Mrs. Dursley was thin and blonde and had nearly twice the usual amount of neck, which came in very useful as she spent so much of her time craning over garden fences, spying on the neighbors.
④The Dursleys had a small son called Dudley and in their opinion there was no finer boy anywhere.
弗農·德思禮先生在格朗寧鑽井公司工作做主管。是一個健壯的大塊頭，脖子幾乎短的看不見，但是奇怪的是他卻有著很大的鬍子。
德思禮夫人則是一個瘦瘦的、有著金黃色頭髮的女人，她的脖子長度幾乎是常人的兩倍！這在她花時間使勁伸長脖子越過花園籬笆窺探左鄰右舍的一舉一動時，就變得非常「方便」了。
德思禮夫婦有著一個小兒子，名叫達力，在他們的眼中，人世間沒有比達力更好的孩子了！（激動落淚）
⑤The Dursleys had everything they wanted, but they also had a secret, and their greatest fear was that somebody would discover it. They didn't think they could bear it if anyone found out about the Potters.
德思禮一家什麼都不缺，但是他們有一個秘密。一家人最大的恐懼就是有人會發現這個秘密，他們想也不敢想如果 「波特一家」的事情被發現之後的後果。
⑥Mrs. Potter was Mrs. Dursley's sister, but they hadn't met for several years; in fact, Mrs. Dursley pretended she didn't have a sister, because her sister and her good-for-nothing husband were as unDursleyish as it was possible to be.
波特夫人是德思禮夫人的妹妹，不過他們已經好幾年沒有見面了。而實際上，德思禮夫人假裝自己根本就沒有這樣一個妹妹，因為在她的眼中，波特夫人和他「一無是處的」丈夫就連一點點可能的「德思禮血統」都沒有。
⑦The Dursleys shuddered to think what the neighbors would say if the Potters arrived in the street. The Dursleys knew that the Potters had a small son, too, but they had never seen him. This boy was another good reason for keeping the Potters away; they didn't want Dudley mixing with a child like that.
德思禮夫婦一想到如果波特一家出現在這條街上，街坊們可能會說的閒話，就害怕得發抖個不停。他們也知道波特一家有一個小兒子，但是他們從來沒有見過他。很顯然，這個小男孩成為了另一個可以讓他們離波特一家有多遠就多遠的絕妙理由：他們不想讓兒子達力和這樣一個「一點都不德思禮的小孩子」混在一起！
