At 6 pm on November 7, a meeting with the theme of 「Glad to meet you, DUT Global Communication Group」 was held at 1949 Café. It is the first meet & greet of DUT Global Communication Group. Meng Linxi, a deputy director of the International Office (IO), other teachers of IO, and all the members of the group attended the meeting.
At the beginning, Deputy Director Meng Linxi addressed the meeting. She said that the joint efforts of all students and teachers of DUT are needed to improve the international reputation of the university. On the one hand, students and teachers should actively participate in international events and show on international stages. On the other hand, it is necessary to build such a professional team for international communication. She also expressed high expectation and warm welcome to all the team members.
Afterwards, the appointment ceremony was held. The members of each department took on their own responsibilities while receiving their appointment letters from the teachers. At the end of the ceremony, Wang Ning, the student director of the group, gave a speech on behalf of the team. She said that the group will do their best to assist IO in strengthening the overseas publicity of DUT.
In order to promote communication among the members, and build interpersonal relationships, some ice-breaking activities were held after self-introduction. In the lively atmosphere, the members opened their hearts to each other, and embrace new teammates, new environment and new future. It is hoped that through this activity, the members of DUT Global Communication Group will get to know each other, grow up and make progress together in the future!
The DUT Global Communication Group is a student organization under the International Office, DUT. It is committed to building the university’s overseas reputation, making it more international, and leading students to grow into elites with international thinking and vision in the new era.
In this team, members can participate in the preparation and organization of international communication activities of DUT, experience international events, participate in international receptions, tell DUT stories to the world with wisdom and enthusiasm, spread the "Voice of DUT", and ultimately become ambassadors of DUT to the world!
