save sb.from sth. : 「使免受」，

這裡的意思就相當於：protect...from「保護……不受……的侵害」，
在這個短語中，

介詞from之後常跟對公眾或社會整體影響不太大的普通詞語，
如果後面接較大的事件或較重要的東西，

如戰爭、災害、騷擾、稅款等，from多由against代替。
例如:What we did for the refugees is to protect them against starvation.

例如：I am on your side in this.
