可惜了，其實Stalker還是挺適合邊消磨時間、邊用來練習聽力的。Maggie老師的口語實在是太炫。
最近一直有斷續地看Maggie Q主演的美劇《跟蹤者》（Stalker）第一季，今天在了解吳彥祖（Daniel Wu）的新劇「Into the Badlands」時，突然想看看Stalker是否有第二季（season 2），網上搜索一番的結果讓我有些小失望。其實早在5月，CBS就已經決定不再為Stalker續拍第2季了。Examiner.com在5月10日就有進行報導，標題為：『Stalker』 and 『Battle Creek』 cancelled: CBS series not renewed for Season 2（《跟蹤者》、《Battle Creek》遭取消：CBS系列劇集不再續拍第二季）。一起來回顧該篇報導的有關內容：
CBS announced Friday, May 8 that it has cancelled freshman drama series 「Stalker」 and 「Battle Creek,」 as well as rookie（新的） comedy 「The McCarthys,」 TV Guide reports. All three shows failed to be renewed for Season 2 due to（由於） low ratings.
大意是說CBS宣布已取消3部新劇的後續劇集，究其原因還是由於觀眾的評價過低（low ratings）。客觀來說，我倒是認為Stalker的表現不算太壞，Maggie Q和Dylan McDermott都算是人氣主演（尼基塔、美國怪譚），演技發揮也中規中矩。要說缺點，也許是因為劇情不夠緊湊，畢竟劇中的每集都講一個獨立的有關stalker的故事，缺乏強大、有張力的主線貫穿牽引。唯一的背景劇情是主角Beth擔心其真實身份被自己的Stalker–Perry揭穿，但其實這也不算什麼大事。和Homeland第一季的緊張懸疑，以及American Horror Story開篇的神秘離奇相比，實在是小巫見大巫。
The Kevin Williamson-produced 「Stalker,」 starring Maggie Q and Dylan McDermott, was the highest-rated of the trio（三個一組） of cancelled shows, averaging（注意這裡的average用作動詞） a 2.5 rating among adults 18-49 and 7.6 million viewers over 18 episodes. However, it was savaged by critics ahead of its premiere（首播） for its depiction of violence and victimization of women, and was eventually put on hiatus（暫停） for months for 「CSI: Cyber.」 It recently resurfaced on Monday nights where it fell to a series low of 5.7 million viewers for its most recent episode. The last two episodes of the season will air（播出） this month.
如果你是Stalker的劇迷，上面這段話會讓你心情平衡很多。與同時被砍掉的其他2部劇集相比，Stalker在總體評分、以及收視率方面的表現實在是好太多。另外，媒體對該劇內容的批評，加之給新劇CSI:Cyber讓位等因素，也促成了後期收視率的下跌。
雖然看不到Stalker第二季有些遺憾，但還是愉快地期待Maggie Q、以及Dylan McDermott會在今後帶來更多精彩佳作。
