Before Marriage 結婚前
在戀愛期（結婚前），情侶之間會通過「約會」、「確定關係」等方式來增進感情。因此，結婚前談戀愛的相關表達有很多：
1.to ask someone out=to ask someone to go on a date
邀請某人約會
Alan asked Susan out last week. She still hasn't given him an answer.
上周艾倫邀蘇珊外出約會。她仍然沒給他一個答覆。
2.to date=to see someone repeatedly in a romantic sense
在戀愛關係中與某人頻繁見面；交往
They dated for two years before they decided to get married.
在他們決定結婚之前，他們已經交往了兩年了。
此外，約會還可以用「to woo someone」（試圖與某人約會）、「to go steady」（在一個較長的時期內定期約會，確定關係）、「to court」（試圖與某人約會）和「to go out」（一次性的約會，或頻繁地見面）等表達。
3.to fall in love=to find someone that you love
找到你愛的人

4.to have a boyfriend/girlfriend=to have a continuing relationship with one person

Becoming Engaged 訂婚
感情發展到一定程度後，這時候男方可以通過求婚和女方建立訂婚關係，成為未婚夫妻。這時候，「求婚」、「訂婚」等用英語應該怎麼說呢？
1.to propose=to ask someone to marry you
求婚——請求某人與你結婚
I'm going to propose to Alan next week.
我下周準備向艾倫求婚了。
2.to ask someone to marry you=to ask someone to be your spouse
求婚——請求某人成為你的配偶。
Have you asked her to marry you yet?
你已經向她求婚了嗎？
3.to ask for someone's hand in marriage=to ask someone to marry you
求婚——請求某人與你結婚
Peter arranged romantic dinner and asked Susan's hand in marriage.
皮特安排了一場浪漫的晚宴，並向蘇珊求婚了。
4.engagement=the state of being engaged, making the promise to marry each other
訂婚——定下了婚約，承諾與對方結婚。
They announced their engagement at the Christmas party last week.

5.fiance=the person to whom you are engaged
未婚夫——訂婚的對象

Marrying 結婚
中國人在祝賀新婚夫婦的時候，很喜歡說「祝百年好合，早生貴子」！而在西式婚禮上，新娘則會在婚誓後說「我願意」，婚後夫妻會在一起過結婚紀念日。那麼，「早生貴子」、「喜結連理」、「白頭偕老」和「我願意」等用英語該怎麼說呢？
1.to get married = the action of becoming husband and wife
結婚——結為夫妻
They got married in a historic church in the countryside.
他們在鄉村裡的一座歷史悠久的教堂裡結為夫妻。
2.anniversary = the day of your wedding, celebrated by married couples
紀念日——夫妻一起慶祝結婚的日子
Our anniversary is coming up next week. What should I get her?
我們的結婚紀念日下周就要到了。我該給她買什麼好呢？
3.to say "I do" = the agree to marry the other person at a wedding
說「我願意」——在婚禮上同意與對方結為夫妻
The bride and groom said "I do" after their vows.
新郎新娘在婚誓後說「我願意」。（vows指婚誓）
4.早生貴子
說到早生貴子，我們很容易就會聯想到這句話：Have a baby soon!
你中槍了沒有？
Have a baby soon 這句話在語法上沒有任何問題，但以英語為母語的人聽了會覺得不太舒服，因為不符合他們的文化。
「早生貴子」是典型的中國式祝福語。所以「早生貴子」是中國人對一個新家庭最美好的祝福。但西方文化可沒有這樣的因素。
在西方文化中，祝福新人的語言通常是這樣的：
"Congratulations"
祝賀你們！
"I'm so happy for you!"
為你感到高興！
"Wishing you lots of love and happiness."
願你幸福滿滿！
"Wishing you a long and happy marriage."
百年好合！
當然，並不是所有的祝福語都不可以和寶寶掛上鉤。如果你跟新人關係比較好，可以以開玩笑的方式，來表達對他們未來寶寶的期待。
如：
「I look forward to hearing the patter of tiny feet.」
我期待聽見小腳啪嗒啪嗒的聲音
這句話既委婉又風趣，想必新婚夫婦聽到這樣的祝福，也會感到舒服和愉悅。
5.百年好合
百年好合併沒有統一固定的表達，更多的是說話者根據自己的語言表達習慣傳達祝福之意。
幾個例句供參考：
Best wishes for many years of happiness for the two of you願你倆百年好合。
I wish you and he ' s beautiful bride a 100 years of health and happiness.我祝福姚明和他美麗的新娘百年好合！
Wish you & your fiance have a blissful marriage, may your love last forever . also hope the two of you good luck in your career祝福你和你未婚夫：新人百年好合，婚姻幸福美滿。還有祝福你們倆的事業更上一層樓！
6.喜結連理
中國人常用「結為連理」來表示「結婚」的意思，英語中類似的表達是tie the knot. Tie做動詞用，有「綁，打結」的意思，knot是「結」。Tie the knot字面意思就是「打結」，比喻為「婚姻的結合」。
We are pleased to announce that after all these years, we have finally decided to tie the knot. 我們很高興宣布在經過這麼多年之後，終於決定要結婚了。
I really want to tie the knot this year and start a family. 我很想今年結婚，組織一個家庭。
