美國藝術家羅賓·懷特曼通過雕塑來描繪童話般的人物、動物與人類混合體，以小、更細緻的雕塑而聞名。US artist Robin Whiteman is known for her hand-carved porcelain sculptures, portraying fairytale-like characters and human-animal hybrids that are distinctly small and delicate. 「我喜歡女性的、柔軟的、有機的、小的、親密的……那些不被認為是強大的東西，但卻是所有力量的來源。」懷特曼邀請觀眾安靜下來，進入一個遠離現代生活噪音的狀態。
"I like things that are feminine, soft, organic, small, intimate… They are not considered powerful, but they are actually the source of all power." Whiteman’s art invites us to quieten down, taking us away from the noises of modern life.

She is currently also showing four works at a group show at Munich’s Storpunkt Gallery called Shades of Black, and for her, black is 「depth and possibility. There is often a murder of crows hanging out in the yard and eating the compost. You can hear bears, wolves, foxes and owls echoing at night. I remember making my very first sculpture, a Madonna and a guinea pig, almost simultaneously. So not much has changed! I was lucky enough to have a teacher who saw something in me and said to me: 『Some people can make a prune that looks just like a prune, but some people can make a prune that has a magic.』」受神話、兒童故事和宗教的啟發，羅賓·懷特曼的雕塑關注內心的狀態。通過對男性和女性意象、人與動物之間關係的遊戲，二元論的主題貫穿於作品的始終。Inspired by mythology, fairytales and religion, Whiteman's work focuses on the inner world. I think it says it all… 'I am an instrument in the shape of a woman translating pulsations into images for the relaxation of the body and the reconstruction of the mind.'」For her, "Everything is changing.
