母親節起源於美國，是每年5月的第二個星期日。母親們在這一天通常會收到禮物，康乃馨被視為獻給母親的花，而中國的母親花是萱草花，又叫忘憂草。

A Mother's Prayer
從懷胎十月、呱呱落地、搖搖學步……孩子的各個成長階段，母親都看在眼裡，且始終默默陪在身邊。當孩子長大後，無論年歲有多大，離家有多遠，他們始終是母親心中最大的牽掛。
國外的每一位母親都會為孩子向上帝祈禱，祈求上帝看顧自己的孩子，賜給他們信心與智慧，引領他們走上一條充滿光明、平安的路；也希望自己的孩子能尋找到上帝的光，並被祂的光所引領保護。
