1、live off
英文釋義：
If you live off another person, you rely on them to provide you with money.
你依賴某人且需要他為你提供經濟來源，所以live off的意思是「依賴（某人）生活」，還可指「以…為食料；住在…之外」。
例句：
They find it hard to live off the money they make.
他們發現靠他們賺的那點錢生活的確不易。

（1）live upon 靠…生活
In the old society, the workers had little to live upon.
在舊社會工人靠微薄的收入生活。
（2）exist on 靠…生存；靠…生活
Without the sun, life would not exist onEarth.

2、live through
through的意思有很多，一般我們理解的是「穿過、穿行、越過」等，live through是指「度過；經受住；經歷過」。
例句：
We Chinese people will live through this disaster together.
我們中國人民會一起度過這場災難。
近義詞：
weather through 度過（困難階段）
It is a difficult time for them, but they weather through.
那是一段她很困難的時期，但是她安然無恙地度過了。
3、live up to
英文釋義：
If someone or something lives up to what they were expected to be, they are as good as they were expected to be.
某人或某物達到了他們的期望，和他們所期望的一樣好。所以「live up to」是指「不辜負（期望）；做到；實踐」。
例句：
They hope he will live up totheir expectations.
他們希望他將不辜負他們的期望。
近義詞：
make it 達到目的；及時趕到；成功；做到
The mission was nearly impossible, but he tried to make it.
這個任務幾乎是不可能辦到的，但他努力做到了。
