在相親的過程中，很多女士吐槽會碰到媽寶男，口頭禪就是我媽說這不行，我媽說那不行，我媽說最好怎麼怎麼樣。
像這種人我們英文中也有對應的說法。比如mama是媽媽，男孩是boy，那組合一起後，a mama’s boy是不是媽寶男呢？代表啥意思看看英文解釋。
1. A mama’s boy
A mama’s boy is the boy or man who allows his mother to have too much influence on him.
如果一個男人或男孩，被他媽掌控或影響太多，那就是a mama's boy，也就是傳說中的媽寶男。（雖然看似中式，卻是地道的英語表達）
英語例句：
① Some of Tom 's classmates think he is a mama's boy because his mother walks him to school every day.
湯姆的一些同學認為他是「媽寶」，因為他媽媽每天送他上學。
* 當然，年齡小的不算啊。媽媽送我，我還開心呢。
② He is a mama's boy that whenever he has problems what he does is to ask his mama.
他是個「媽寶」，無論遇到什麼問題，他立馬就問他媽。
2. A face only mom/mother could love
如果有人說你「You have a face only mom could love」，快讓他消失吧！
因為，這句話表示You have a very ugly face，在說你的臉非常非常的醜，只有你媽才喜歡，畢竟你是你媽生的。囧。
總覺得這句英語的打趣讓人實在是哭笑不得，可憐天下父母心。
英語例句：
① The poor baby has a face only a mother could love.
這個可憐的嬰兒長著一張只有母親才能愛的臉。
除了上面這種表達，我們下面這個表達也可以用來說人長得醜。
② Look at that guy. That's a face that could stop a clock.
看那個傢伙。這張臉能讓鐘停下來。

3. Tiger mother
在我們的教育領域經常會說到虎媽，那虎媽在英文中叫做tiger mother（very strict很嚴苛）。tiger就是老虎的意思，那你喜歡tiger mother嗎？
① Maria is definitely a tiger mother, because she always demands that her children reach a high level of achievement.
瑪麗亞絕對是一個虎媽，因為她總是要求她的孩子取得非常高水平的成就。
