93年、400棟樓、如果走在路上想上廁所了，就看看附近哪棟樓是自己的，每個月的主要事情就是收租……
這樣的工作有個響亮的名字——包租婆（確實是我的夢想工作），它的英文表達也很有意思—— landlady，直譯過來就是土地小姐。那男房東用英語該怎麼說？二房東呢？今天就來和大家聊聊和它們，學習和租房有關的英語表達。
01 landlady/lndledi/ n. 包租婆，女房東
landlord/lndlrd/ n. 房東
The landlady in Guangzhou can earn a rent of 200 million rmb per month.那個廣州女房東每月的租金收入可達2億元人民幣。A landlord is a person or company from whom you rent a room, a house, or an office.房東是指你向他租房間、房子、辦公室的人或公司。
02. subletter/sbletr/ 二房東，轉租的人
A subletter doesn't really own the house, but sublets it to others.二房東並不真正擁有房子，而是轉租給別人。
03. estate realtors /stet//riltr/ 房地產經紀人/房屋中介
An estate realtor is a person whose job is to sell houses and land for people.房地產經紀人的工作是為人們出售房屋和土地。When the estate realtors showed us this house, we knew we wanted it right away. 當房地產經紀人向我們介紹這所房子時，我們知道我們想馬上買下它。
04. lease/lis/ n.租期
He took up a 10-year lease on the house. 他租了這所房子，租期為10年。The lease expires/runs out next year. 租約明年到期。
05. property /prɑprti/ n.房產
This building is government property. 這座大樓是政府的財產。In China, it is very important that the couple should own a property before getting married. 在中國，夫妻在結婚前擁有一處房產是非常重要的。
06. apartment/pɑrtmnt/ n.公寓
Christina has her own apartment, with her own car.克裡斯蒂娜有自己的公寓，也有自己的車。Jane broke away from her parents and got an apartment of her own.簡與父母斷絕了關係，有了自己的一套公寓
07. villa /vl/ 別墅
We rented a holiday villa in Spain. 我們在西班牙租了一座假日別墅。He lives in a five-bedroom luxury villa. 他住在一幢有5間臥室的豪華別墅裡。
08. mortgage /mrɡd/ 房貸, 按揭
He will have to take out a mortgage in order to buy the house.為了買這所房子，他將不得不申請抵押貸款。They hope to pay off the mortgage on their home soon.他們希望儘快還清房子的抵押貸款。
09. rent for a long term or a short 長租、或者短租
One advantage of renting a house is the freedom of moving to wherever I want. I can rent for a long-term, or a short term like three months or even a month. 租房子的好處之一是可以自由地搬到我想去的任何地方。我可以租長期的，也可以租短期的，比如三個月，甚至一個月。
10. cost an arm and a leg 價格昂貴
The house can cost me an arm and a leg.這房子太貴了。She saw a beautiful coat but it costs an arm and a leg. 她看到了一件漂亮的上衣，但它的價格昂貴。
11. tenancy agreement 住房合同
You need to sign the tenancy agreement before renting.你需要在租賃前籤租賃協議。
這個27歲的包租婆在B站走紅之後，就有人對400棟樓的真實性提出了質疑，畢竟廣州從2017年開始就開始限購，後來主人公出來回應：
這400棟樓大部分都不是她的，她主要是通過承租再轉租的方式經營公寓租賃。她只不過有其中的10幾棟樓而已…月入也並沒有2億。但是已經實現想買樓就買樓的經濟自由確實是真的。
雖然關注早安的朋友們既不是包租婆/公，也沒有實現經濟自由，但是相信大家都租房或者租過房！所以，最後和大家分享一些租房小tips，這些都是早安team租房時踩過的坑：
1、檢查房屋內的電器（如果居住期間電器損壞誰承擔費用）2、檢查下水道是否通暢、有無異味，水壓大小（我血淚的教訓，到現在我們家洗澡和洗衣服都不能同時進行）3、電路是否老化，可要求房東修復4、檢查所有窗戶是否能關緊5、網費是否由房東承擔
