美東時間11月7日11時26分(北京時間11月8日0時26分)，美聯社、CNN、NBC等多家主流媒體宣布美國民主黨提名的總統候選人拜登贏得了擁有20張選舉人票的人口最大搖擺州賓夕法尼亞州。
這意味著，拜登獲得的選舉人票已經超過270張，已經跨過當選門檻。
Joe Biden 也發了推特：
America ，I'm honored that you have chosen me to lead our great country.
The work ahead of us will be hard, but I promise you this: I will be a President for all Americans--whether you voted for me or not.
I will keep the faith that you have placed in me.
