在追求效率，講究出名要趁早的今天，這部電影能做到逐幀手繪，歷時了七年完成，像是一個孩童用泥巴搭建自己夢中城堡一般痴痴的執著，真是令人感動。
導演一定像打造自己的夢境一樣，打磨自己的畫筆。不放過每一個細節，將他心中的海洋在銀幕上鋪展開來。影片畫風精緻，色彩素淨，融入了浮世繪、工筆、水墨的元素。大海的幽藍讓人感到靜謐，和絲絲憂傷。
背景音樂空靈悠遠，純淨簡潔，結合了愛爾蘭風笛、民謠吉他、 豎琴、鋼琴等樂器，營造出了一個天堂般透明絕美的視聽境界，直抵靈魂深處。
