赫希貝德納聯合設計顧問公司（HBA）所負責的蘇州柏悅酒店設計項目於近日完美收官。蘇州柏悅酒店坐落於被譽為「人間天堂」之稱的金雞湖畔，以其引人入勝的細節為賓客帶來非凡的入住體驗。HBA通過充滿活力的當代設計詮釋了蘇州古城的文化底蘊，打造出一座歷史與現代感並存的湖畔莊園。整體的酒店布局和空間功能分配跟隨並延續了蘇州傳統古宅的設計。與此同時，HBA將各種傳統與現代元素無縫融合，運用不同的材質使整體明亮的色調達到平衡，進一步豐富了酒店的空間層次感。遊走於蘇州柏悅酒店的不同區域，賓客將一步步探索酒店獨具巧思的設計，解鎖充滿驚喜的柏悅體驗。
Hirsch Bedner Associates (HBA), the world’s leading hospitality design firm, has recently unveiled the design of Park Hyatt Suzhou. Located in Suzhou’s famous Jinji Lake, also known as the 「New Paradise on Earth」, Park Hyatt Suzhou offers the guests a truly one-of-a-kind staying experience with inspiring design in every detail. Through molding the heritage of the historic city with vibrant modernity in the interior design, HBA creates a refined and contemporary version of the traditional Suzhou mansion. The layout and functional allocation of the hotel is meticulously designed to correspond to those of the typical mansions in Suzhou. HBA further enriches the spatial experience with a perfect blend of traditional and modern elements and a vibrant color palette balanced by a mixing of materials. By exploring different spaces of Park Hyatt Suzhou, the guests unveil the unexpected surprises that are artfully woven into every stay.
賓客由前廳進入酒店，前廳又稱天井，是古代屋主和客人們進入房屋的主要入口。一步入前廳，賓客便會被別致的窗格屏風設計所吸引。16米高的半鏤空木製屏風框架和開合不一的窗格屏風為賓客完美還原了傳統古宅的前廳設計。穿過設有傳統柱廊和蘇式盆景的前臺，賓客將隨即進入酒店大堂休息區。受到舊時賓客落轎的轎廳之啟發，大堂休息區的一側展示了一乘古時傳統轎子和一乘運用現代抽象藝術手法呈現的帶有紅色色系的轎子，形成了一組新舊趣味的對比。整個大堂的主題亮點無疑就是接待區，它的設計與傳統古宅中款待貴賓、舉辦重要活動的正廳相呼應。十字海棠花紋地毯、連廊式天花板、淡藍色大理石地板和蘇州園林圖案的地面拼花相得益彰，古典的壯麗與魅力渾然一體。在等候辦理入住手續時，賓客還能稍作休息，欣賞中國傑出藝術家楊明義的藝術作品。
The guest experience begins from the entrance vestibule, which represents the open-air foyer, or the main entrance for master of the house and his guests in ancient times. As soon as the guests enter into the vestibule, they are immediately captivated by a striking spectacle of the lattice window. The 16-meter-high semi-hollowed wooden screen frame and the randomly opening and closed window lattice screen emulate the traditional forecourt. Passing by the reception desk, embellished with traditional pillar details and Suzhou-style bonsai, the guests enter the lobby seating area. Drawing inspirations from the sedan chair hall where the sedan would park upon arrival, the lobby area displays a traditional sedan and a modern pop red-colored sedan on the other side of the lounge area. The thematic highlight of the entire lobby is undoubtedly the reception, as it corresponds to the main building of the historic mansion that serves honored guests and holds important events. A combination of the crabapple flower pattered carpet, the verandah-shaped ceiling, and the light blue marble floor and columns with Suzhou garden floor pattern present the historic grandeur and charm. While waiting to check in, the guests can take a purposeful yet meaningful pause to enjoy the sophisticated artwork by the outstanding Chinese artist Yang Ming-Yi.
大堂吧沿襲古時女廳的設計，由起居室、餐廳和臥室組成。進入大堂吧後，客人首先抵達起居室，此處的設計糅合了各種鮮豔的色彩和豐富的設計元素。精美的蘇繡、花式吊燈和座椅，展現出一片春意盎然的花園景觀。層次分明的海棠花形天花板和位於正中央的淺藍色桌子則為整個空間增添了一絲清新感。餐廳以深棕色和奶白色為主，彰顯永恆優雅的氣韻。大紅檯面上擺放著傳統的青花瓷花瓶，頗引人注目。來到位於大堂吧裡端的起居室，賓客將會驚嘆於懸掛在天花板的巨大藝術燈具，燈具的設計充滿藝術感且散發著濃濃的古典韻味。如若近觀，賓客將會發現許多與古代花廳相似的精緻細節。
The lobby lounge is a modern representation of the ladies court comprised of three parts: living room, dining room, and bedroom. When entering the lobby lounge, the guests are first brought to the living room, filled with vivid colors and diverse design elements. The delicate embroidery artworks and the floral-patterned ceiling lamps and chairs form a flourishing botanical garden in the spring day. The layered and crabapple shaped ceiling design, matching with creamy colored table in the center, add refreshing accents to the space. The dining room boasts timeless elegance with a dark brown and cream color palette. Meanwhile, the bold red counter with a traditional blue and white pottery on top of it, catches the spotlight. Coming to the end of lobby lounge, the guests will marvel at a large wooden light fixture suspended from the ceilings that is full of artistic conception and lingering charm. More interestingly, when looking closer, the guests will uncover delicate details that resemble the flower hall from ancient times.
西洲軒 烤鴨爐 | Xizhou Hall Duck Oven
氣勢恢宏的大宴會廳由前廳與主廳組成，如同一對形影不離的鴛鴦。鴛鴦在中國文化中是夫妻恩愛的象徵，為宴會廳賦予了美好的寓意。前廳的設計宛如一片冬日的竹林，與金雞湖畔的自然景觀相互呼應。與前廳平靜安寧的氛圍不同，主廳則透露著一種古典優雅的美感。桂花形的藝術吊燈懸掛於高高的天花板之上，與設計精美的牆面和鮮豔的紅色地毯共同構成莊重而華麗的空間。在歡快的聚會期間，客人們還可通過漂亮的落地窗觀賞金雞湖無比優美的自然風光。
In the grand ballroom, the prefunction area and the main ballroom harmoniously complement each other like a pair of inseparable mandarin ducks, a symbol of conjugal love in Chinese culture. The pre-function area is designed as a winter garden of bamboo, which resembles the natural landscape of Jinji Lake. Different from the soothing and tranquil atmosphere of the pre-function area, the main ballroom offers a classic and elegant feel. The Osmanthus flower shaped crystal chandelier hanging from the tall ceilings, with the delicately designed wall paneling and the vibrant red colored carpet create a dignified and splendid space. In the midst of joyful gatherings, the guests can also enjoy the stunning natural wonders of Jinji lake through the beautiful floor-to-ceiling windows.

For business travelers, the well-designed function room is their go-to spot. Derived from the Gauze Cap Hall, a traditional study space shaped like an ancient 「gauze cap」, the function room is filled with interesting traditional elements. The warm wood walls fuse the concept of traditional screens and pillars, and the blue green carpet is styled with the traditional floral floor pattern. Meanwhile, the colorful paintings in different shapes bring a burst of vibrant energy to the space.

Featuring dining experiences ranging from authentic Chinese buffet to world-class steak, the hotel is sure to satisfy every appetite and every palate. The all-day dining venue, Xizhou Hall sets the stage for a fantastic Chinese dining experience with contemporary interior design and immersive music, combined with subtle Chinese elements. While indulging the delectable dishes, the guests can enjoy spectacular views out onto the watery courtyards and gardens of the hotel. In addition to Xizhou Hall, the guests who like to discover unusual and multisensory dining experience must visit Apartment 208, the hotel’s 「secret」 whisky bar and steak house. To 「unlock」 the secretive dining journey delivered by Apartment 208, the guests need to first 「check in」 with the staff to obtain a 「key」. Down the hallway through the subtly encrypted door of 208, the guests with the special 「keys」 are then welcomed to enter the hidden abode of two special connoisseurs. The two connoisseurs are a father and a son who share a common passion for aesthetics and refinement that transcend age and time. Ranging from art pieces by emerging artists and antique hip flasks from heirloom pieces, their collection brings unique visual enjoyments to the guests. In addition, the timber-clad apartment design characterized by the play of shadow and light further enriches the guests』 dining experiences.
蘇州柏悅酒店的遊泳池和水療區也延續了設計師對傳統元素的現代詮釋。室內遊泳池選用清新雅致的水藍色馬賽克鋪貼，十分雅致，不禁讓人聯想到太湖美景。除了從傳統連廊和屏風衍生而成的天花板和牆面，頗似中國傳統涼亭的休閒沙發也融合了古代和現代的不同特色。水療區是另一處理想的休閒之所，賓客可在此放鬆身心，煥發活力。水療接待區採用貴族紫色調，給人以寧靜之感。天花板的設計如同綻放的海棠花，從各個角度迎接賓客到來並優雅地引導他們進入理療室。六間理療室分別以牡丹、山茶花、梅花、桂花、蘭花和木蘭這六種蘇州特色花卉為基礎進行設計和裝飾。
The swimming pool and the spa area of Park Hyatt Suzhou continue to evoke a modern interpretation of traditional elements. With different shades of aqua blue mosaics gracefully paved on the bottom surface, the indoor pool is envisioned as Taihu Lake. In addition to the ceiling and the walls that take inspirations from the traditional verandahs and screens, the leisure sofas resembling traditional Chinese pavilions connect the ancient with the modern. Apart from the indoor pool, the spa area is the ideal destination for the guests to rejuvenate and recharge their mind and body. Covered with royal purple, the spa reception imbues a sense of serenity. The blooming crabapple flower, featured by the ceiling design embraces the guests from all different angles and elegantly guides them into the treatment rooms. Each of the six treatment rooms takes on a unique character based on the six signature flowers from Suzhou: Peony, Camellia, Plum Blossom, Osmanthus, Orchid, and Magnolia.

The beautifully crafted guestroom is an integral part of the guests』 one-of-kind staying experience at Park Hyatt Suzhou. As soon as the guests arrive at the corridor, the contemporary artworks blended with timeless furnishings offer a warm ambiance of home. The traditional element representing Suzhou’s heritage are seamlessly merged with the modern minimalist European design of the hotel guestroom. Following the concept of an outdoor balcony known as Veranda in the ancient mansion, the guest room offers a versatile balcony that can also serves as a private living room for one to enjoy quality time without disturbances from other guests. The bathroom further elevates the guest experience with design details in the crabapple flowered shaped mirror. With four petals arranged symmetrically, the crabapple flower is deemed as an essential floor pattern element in the traditional Suzhou garden. As 「Tang」 (棠) and 「Tang」 (堂) are homophonic, the crabapple flower is also a fortune icon for opulence and wellbeing (「玉堂富貴」 「滿堂平安」). For guests staying at the twin room, the unique visual effect formed by the reflected crabapple flowers on the two bathroom mirrors facing each other is another highlight that cannot be missed.
