What引導的特殊疑問句句型結構我們可分為兩種:
1. What + 一般疑問句?
2. What + 名詞 + 一般疑問句?
這兩類結構的謂語動詞通常都由「be動詞」「情態動詞」和「行為動詞(實義動詞)」充當,但用法各不相同。
首先,「What + 一般疑問句」的結構
用英語句式呈現即:
What + be動詞 + sb/sth ?
What + 情態動詞 + sb/sth + 實義動詞?
What + 助動詞 + sb/sth + 實義動詞?
注意哦,其中情態動詞和助動詞不可單獨作謂語,它們一定要和實義動詞搭配使用哦!
Let’s take some examples:
be動詞做謂語:
(問姓名)What’s your name?
(問喜好)What’s your favorite fruit?
(問職業)What is he?
(問日期)What’s the date today?
(問天氣)What’s the weather like in winter?
情態動詞做謂語:
(問能力)What can you do at home?
(問意願)What would you like for lunch? (would like to do = want to do)
行為動詞做謂語:
(問職業)What do you do?
(問三餐)What do you have for dinner?

老師:當我們想對某一事物做進一步的了解時就需要用到「What + 名詞 + 一般疑問句?」的結構啦。此時的what相當於形容詞,作定語。我們可由相同的這三種情況來舉例說明:
be動詞做謂語:
(問星期)What day is it today?
(問時間)What time is it?
(問顏色)What color is your skirt?
(問存在範圍)What class are you in?
等
情態動詞做謂語:
What sports can you play?
What food would you like to buy?
What job should we do now?
行為動詞作謂語:
What class do you have on Wednesday?
What sports do you like?
What club do you want to join?
