茶餘飯後，你的狀態是不是這樣的？
廣大吃瓜群眾最喜聞樂見的，就是實錘。
柯南曾經說過：「事情的真相只有一個!」平時在網上說些朋友出軌、明星八卦之類的事都要講證據的，沒有證據只靠片面之詞，誰知道你說的是不是真的~這時便會有人附上各式各樣的證據，表明這件事已經有結論了。
網友們把這樣有證據的事稱為「實錘」，但不代表有些事「實錘」了事情的真相就是那樣，很多時候證據也有可能是杜撰的，真相只有當事人才懂。
其實求錘得錘這個詞通過這事就很好理解了，那就是：明星被爆料了一件事，但是開始是沒有證據的，粉絲們就要求一定要看到實錘，沒過多久爆料人就曝出一段證據，但是粉絲覺得不給力，繼續要證據，過不了多久再次有證據曝出，循環往復，一次比一次厲害，而這就是求錘得錘的含義。
今天，我們就來學學「實錘」用英語怎麼說吧！
evidence是證據，但「鐵證」可不是iron evidence哦，而是hard evidence。
e.g. They are reluctant to prosecute without any hard evidence.
他們不願意在沒有確鑿證據的情況下起訴。
hard也可以用definite / solid / irrefutable / conclusive / undeniable / incontrovertible來替換，用來表示「確鑿的」。
「證據」的另一個詞是proof，表示「鐵證」（確鑿的證據；有力的證明）的短語是positive proof或proof positive。
當然，proof也可以搭配各種表示「確定的」形容詞，比如：conclusive / tangible / undeniable / definite proof。
e.g. She regarded the ring as proof positive of his love.
她認定這隻戒指是他愛情的有力證明。
可能有小夥伴要問了，同樣都是「證據」，evidence和proof有什麼區別呢？
根據朗文辭典的釋義：
evidence：facts, objects, or signs that make you believe that something exists or is true
proof: facts, information, documents etc. that prove something is true
二者都可以表示「證據，證明」，區別在於proof是直接可以證明某事的依據，而evidence則指起到證明作用的事物。
例句：
There was no evidence that either driver had been drinking.
沒有證據表明這兩個司機喝了酒。
His fingerprints on the gun are proof that he's guilty.
槍上的指紋是他有罪的證據。
3.ironclad / cast-iron proof / evidence「實錘或鐵證」雖不能直譯為「iron evidence」，iron的意思是「熨鬥；鐵」，並沒有堅實的，可靠的，確鑿的意思，但是ironclad和cast-iron這兩個單詞可以表示「有力的，確實的，確定不移的」。
例如：
ironclad guarantees of safe passage
安全通行的絕對保障
a cast-iron guarantee / promise
永不反悔的保證；鐵誓
a cast-iron excuse / alibi
有說服力的辯解；不在犯罪現場的確鑿證據
所以，「實錘」可以表達為：ironclad / cast-iron proof / evidence。
英文中有一句話「I』ve got the receipts」，被譯為「我有錘」。這個梗與中文的「實錘」對應得恰如其分。
例如：
-You got so drunk last night and puked in my swimming pool.
昨晚你喝醉吐我遊泳池裡了。
-Oh come on, show me the receipts.
怎麼會，你有錘嗎？
不知道會不會有小夥伴好奇，receipt是怎麼衍生出「錘」的意思，並成為網絡熱梗的呢？
這一切就要從天后惠特尼·休斯頓（Whitney Houston）2002年的一場電視採訪說起。
當時，主持人提到有小報媒體指控休斯頓大量購買非法物品的事，一向slay的休斯頓女士這次也正常發揮了，她是這麼回懟的：
I want to see the receipts.
小票給我看看。
這場採訪過後，國外網友就從這句「I want to see the receipts」引申出了一個暗含「實錘」的回應：「I』ve got the receipts」。
拜天后所賜，receipt作為「實錘」的用法就這麼火出圈了。
這個詞組直譯過來就是「冒煙的槍，槍還在冒著煙」，證明剛剛肯定有人開了槍，絕對「實錘」。這個詞常用來指「犯罪證據」或「科學證據」。
柯林斯詞典對somking gun的解釋如下：
A smoking gun is a piece of evidence that proves that something is true or that someone is responsible for a crime.
確鑿的證據; 確證證據
e.g. The search for other kinds of evidence tying him to trafficking has not produced a smoking gun.
在其它方面還沒有找到能證明他參與此非法交易的確鑿證據。
「chapter and verse」有「引經據典」的意思，也可引申為「確切的證據」。
give chapter and verse的英文釋義如下：
To provide full, specific, and authoritative information to support some quote, question, or issue at hand.
提供確鑿的證據
e.g. You can't be so vague if you want to convince me. You'll have to give chapter and verse.
如果你想說服我，就不能含糊其辭。你得拿出確切的證據。
