Why is the world crazy for love? What is the secret power of love? This weekend a dear friend of mine got married. I just love weddings. They are a wonderful mix of joy, love, holiness and future hope. What makes love so powerful? Is it the initial click in friendship and enjoyment two friends feel when they are together or the first spark of romance and attraction between a man and woman? Is the power of love found in the happy thoughts, sweet words and intimate gestures? Is it a man on one knee offering a ring to a woman or that woman’s willingness to say 「I do」? These things are beautiful. 約翰一書 4:7-12 The power of love can be found in the presence of our Almighty God who is the source of all love. The God who created each person and placed in each one of us a longing to be loved. God loves even those who do not return His loveThe power of love is that it comes straight from the heart of God. For God is love. You cannot be touched by love without being touched by God. A person may not acknowledge Almighty God, but that does not bar the love of God from reaching that person. If God only expressed love to those who knew Him and who could return His love, we would all be lost. 羅馬書5:5-8Every human regardless of culture or faith has a desire to be loved. It is our greatest need in life, or deepest longing. God has deposited this longing for Himself in each human heart regardless of their beliefs. They long for love and God is love. Repent of your sins, turn away from them and ask God to forgive you. By faith receive God’s forgiveness and gift of salvation. As His child, may you be filled to overflowing with the love of God. Nothing can separate you from the love of GodThe power of love is that the source is God. There is nothing stronger than God’s love and His love never fails. His love for you is eternal and greater than you can imagine. As it says in the Song of Songs, 「Many waters cannot quench love.」 This is God’s never-ending love for you. 愛的力量在於 神是愛的源頭。沒有什麼比神的愛更強大，祂的愛永不止息。祂對你的愛是永恆的，比你所能想像的更偉大。正如雅歌中說的「眾水不能熄滅愛」， 這是神對你無盡的愛。For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
