The Indian hit, Dangal, was the surprise winner at the Chinese box office in May 2017, followed closely by Guardians 2 and Pirates, obviously.
We thought Dangal was pretty much just a cookie cutter underdog sports film, though, but must have been fresh and meaningful to the Chinese audience. And it had Aamir Khan.

As we've written previously, everyone seems to be pretty stoked for this next superhero flick. And some critics are spouting it as one of the best ever. That's probably just the execs at DC. She was the best part of B-man v. Supes, though.
Here's the gist: Before she was Wonder Woman she was Diana, princess of the Amazons, trained warrior. When a pilot crashes and tells of conflict in the outside world, she leaves home to fight a war to end all wars, discovering her full powers and true destiny.
We'll believe it when we see it. Don't let us down, Gal.

Who are we kidding, you probably already torrented this one months ago... but is it worth it to see in the cinemas? Probably only if you're a RobPatt fangirl.
For those who haven't yet seen it: it's a true-life drama, centering on British explorer Col. Percival Fawcett, who disappeared while searching for a mysterious city in the Amazon in the 1920s.
Yes, the ending is that predictable, but we won't give it away.

Oh my word, this one looks bad.
Another case of a remake that didn't need to be remade. We were perfectly happy with the Brendan Fraser version from the late 90s. And if he doesn't show up in some sort of lame cameo, we will boycott this film for the rest of time.
And Tom Cruise? Don't even get us started. Let's hope the mummy is attractive, at least.
