high in sth意思是...的含量高，這裡的high是表示contain a lot of a particular substance or quality，包含大量特定的物質。

have friends in high placeshave friends in high places看上去像不像我上頭有人的感覺？實際上意思確實差不多了。
這個詞表示know important people who can help you，可以解釋為有路子、有後臺。

不要惹我，我可是有後臺的。
high ground的確是高地的意思，從高地這個意思引申出了（比賽或辯論中的）優勢、有利條件。
