在生活中，我們難免會遇到一些問題，需要向別人求助：
我忘帶筆了，能借一下你的籤字筆嗎？這道題目我不太會，你能幫我解答一下嗎？我的手機沒電了，能借你的充電寶嗎？……
在這些場景下，如果想請求別人的幫忙，用英語怎麼說呢？
你的第一反應是不是 「Can you help me?」
這個表達， 可以說是中國人求助時的萬能金句！
但是，如果你經常說這句話，在歪果仁心裡很可能已經認定你是個沒禮貌的人咯！
「Can you help me」 按字面意思的確是 「能不能幫我」，但這種表達太過直接，不夠禮貌。
因為，在英語中，can 有「做某事的能力」的意思。
比如：
Can you pass me that pen?
你以為你表達的意思是：你能把那支筆遞給我嗎？
但這句話潛在意思其實是在說：你有沒有把那支筆遞給我的能力。
一般來說，隨便一個人都有這個能力吧。
而 Can you help me 的潛臺詞其實是：
你到底能不能幫助我？/ 你有沒有幫助我的能力？
所以，當聽到這句話時，歪果仁會認為你非常沒禮貌！
那麼，我們應該如何更加禮貌地請人幫忙呢？
01.
Could / Would you do me a favor?
這兩種問句一般都用於：詢問他人是否願意提供幫助。
could 這個詞常常用於詢問和請求，比簡單粗暴的 can 有禮貌得多。
Would you do me a favor? 則是更加正式的表達。
do me a favor 幫忙
Hey, could you do me a favor? Will you keep an eye on my books? I'll be back in five minutes.
嘿，你可不可以幫我一個忙？你能不能幫我照看一下這些書？我五分鐘後就回來。
Could you do me a favor to help me put my bag on the rack?
請您幫忙將我的旅行袋放到架子上好嗎？

Could you possibly / kindly …
Could you possibly / kindly 後接動詞原形，可以請求對方做某些明確的行為。
possibly 可能地
kindly 親切地
使用 possibly 或 kindly 能讓語氣變得非常委婉，有一種弱弱的感覺：你有可能幫助我一下嗎？
Could you possibly ask him to call me back？
你可以叫他給我回個電話嗎？
Could you possibly take care of my dog while I'm away?
我不在時，你能不能照看一下我的狗呢？
Could you kindly send me a map showing how to get there from the airport?
您可以提供機場至貴公司的地圖嗎？

Would (Do) you mind…
這個表達後面接動詞的ing形式，即：
Would (Do) you mind doing sth.
表示：希望對方做某事。
用來委婉地請求別人幫忙，以徵得同意。
其中 would 比 do 語氣更委婉，熟人之間可以用 do 代替 would。
Do you mind opening the door?
你可以開門嗎？
Would you mind lending me a car tonight?
你介意今晚把車借給我嗎？
Would you mind calling back later？
你介意稍後再打來嗎？
需要注意的是：
當你問別人：Would you mind doing sth.
如果對方回答：Sorry, I would.
這個意思其實是「不願意幫忙」
如果願意幫助，就說：
Not at all.
No, certainly not.
04.
Could I trouble / ask / bother you...
這句話用於更正式的場合，
尤其用 trouble 這個詞勞駕別人幫忙，
更顯得謙卑和真誠，
表示：自己很不好意思給別人造成麻煩了。
Could I trouble you to buy one for me?
我麻煩你為我買一個？
Could I ask you to buy me some drinks?
我可以請你幫我買些飲料嗎？
Could I bother you for a few minutes?
我可以麻煩您一會兒嗎?
05.
Could you give / lend me a hand
這個表達可以加介詞 with，後跟需要幫忙的事
也可以直接有禮貌地向人說：
Could you give me a hand, please?
你能幫我個忙嗎?
give / lend me a hand 直譯是「給我一隻手」
也就是請求別人伸出援手，助自己一臂之力。
意思是：幫個忙，搭把手
Could you give me a hand with this suitcase?
你能幫我搬搬這行李箱嗎？
I was wondering if you could give me a hand with this project.
我想知道你是否在這個項目上能幫幫我。
Could you give me a hand and pass me the scissors？I can’t reach them myself.
能幫忙把那個剪刀遞給我嗎？我夠不著。
