Imelda May 出生於1974年，是來自愛爾蘭都柏林的一名女性歌唱家，精通山村搖滾音樂，創建了一個關於她的報導和自創歌曲的節目。2003年，Imelda以婚前的名字發行了專輯"No Turning Back"，此後，該專輯又在她婚後，被以現用的名字再次發行。Imelda已經與Alison Moyet，Dionne Warwick，Bryan Ferry, Anastasia, The Supremes, Sister Sledge, Scissor Sisters, Matt Bianco, Elvis Costello, Jools Holland and Elton John共同分享多姿的舞臺，開始了自己的舞臺生涯。作為一名歌唱家，她在麥克桑切斯七節節奏和布魯斯樂隊上花費了四年的時間。
