據美國有線電視新聞網（CNN）23日報導，拜登政府很快將接管白宮的官方推特帳戶，但這些帳戶的粉絲將被清零。
拜登競選團隊數字主管羅布·弗萊赫蒂表示，「這是推特的決定，不是總統的決定」。
周二，一名推特發言人在一份聲明中證實，推特在總統就職日轉移@WhiteHouse、@POTUS和@VP等機構帳戶時，「不會自動保留現有的粉絲」。
A spokesperson for Twitter, Nick Pacilio, told CNN in a statement on Tuesday that the multiple White House accounts being transferred "will not automatically retain their existing followers."
推特表示，這些帳號將在2021年1月20日被轉交給拜登政府，此前的推文會被存檔，發布內容歸零。「例如，關注@WhiteHouse的人將被告知該帳戶已被存檔為@WhiteHouse45，並可選擇關注新的@WhiteHouse帳戶。」
"For example, people who follow @WhiteHouse will be notified that the account has been archived as @WhiteHouse45 and given the option to follow the new @WhiteHouse account."
目前，@POTUS（美國總統官方帳號）帳號有3300多萬粉絲，而@WhiteHouse（白宮官方帳號）有2600萬粉絲。
拜登過渡團隊的發言人卡梅倫在周三（23號）的聲明中表示：「推特不願從川普政府轉移數百萬粉絲到拜登政府，這毫無必要地政治化了原本屬於政府交接時的慣例。」
"Twitter's reluctance to transfer millions of followers from the Trump Administration to the Biden Administration unnecessarily politicizes what otherwise should be a routine transfer of communication from one administration to the next," Biden-Harris transition spokesperson Cameron French told CNN in a statement on Wednesday.
據悉，2017年川普就職美國總統時，川普政府從歐巴馬政府處繼承了擁有數百萬粉絲的推特帳號，那是美國歷史上首次推特帳號轉手，當時@POTUS帳號和@WhiteHouse帳號共擁有超過1300萬的粉絲。
「這無關乎政治，這確保了政府行政部門在傳達政策時沒有中斷」，卡梅倫在聲明中說到，「尤其是在危機時刻，美國人民有權用各種途徑得到信息，包括社交媒體。」
"This wasn't about politics, it was about ensuring no disruption in the ability of the executive branch of government to directly communicate its policies to the country," He continued, "Especially in times of crisis, the American people deserve access to information in a variety of forms including social media."
目前，推特平臺沒有就為何改變轉接政策作出明確解釋。
