Directions: For this part, you are allowed 30 minutes to write an essay on why students should be encouraged to develop the ability to meet challenges. You should write at least 120 words but no more than 180 words.
今年12月份的六級作文是一篇比較典型的議論文寫作，話題素材為為何學生需要培養應對挑戰的能力。考生要明確題目中的「why(為何)」一詞，意識到本篇作文的核心應是陳述幾大為何要培養學生應對挑戰能力的原因。把握好這點以後，就可對本篇作文做到心中有數。
第一段為引入段，引入時要開門見山，直切主題。考生可用一常用句式「隨著社會的發展，挑戰無處不在(越來越多)」進行話題引入。第二句再順水推舟，引入「在這種情況下，越來越多的學生們被鼓勵培養其應對挑戰的能力」，點明文章主題。
第二段為文章主體，要分層次探究為何要培養學生應對挑戰能力的原因，如培養學生應對挑戰的能力可幫助學生更好地應對時代發展，可幫助學生培養其問題解決能力及核心競爭力，可提升學生勇氣以應對未知挑戰及把握機會等。 描述原因常用句式如：「The reasons why... can be listed as follows、In my opinion, I think three factors may contribute to this phenomenon」等。再用「First of all、Moreover、Besides、In addition、Last but not least」等關聯詞對原因進行連接，使寫作邏輯清晰有條理。
第三段可選用「From my perspective、As far as I am concerned, to conclude」等句式結合自己的觀點，如表明「培養學生應對挑戰能力是有益的，因此學校、個人等都應有意識培養這種能力」等來總結全文。

As society progresses, challenges exist everywhere. In this case, more and more students are encouraged to develop their ability to face challenges.
The reasons why students should be encouraged to develop their ability to face challenges can be listed as follows: First of all, facing the great change of social environment, cultivating the ability to face challenges can enable students to better cope with the continuous development of society. In addition, the ability to meet challenges can help improve their ability to solve problems independently and the core competency. Last but not least, this ability can make students have more courage to embrace the unknown challenges and opportunities in life.
As we mentioned above, developing the ability to face challenges can bring many benefits to students. Therefore, schools need and should consciously cultivate students' ability to cope with challenges, cultivating a new generation of talents with courage and knowledge for the country.
