GOLDEN TIME 金色時光

Sunrise and sunset, also known as 「golden time」, is the photographer’s favorite. Changes in light and shadow make the scenery more beautiful. This series collected photos taken by BCPA members during sunrise and sunset golden hours, showing pictures of unforgettable beauty. This collection includes 77 photos from 41 BCPA members. They are presented in the order of submission.

Arrived at Horseshoe bend early evening. Since directly facing the sun, it was hard to take a good picture of Horseshoe Bend as colors seem getting washed out. Instead, I took this snapshot of people at the overlook waiting for better view once sun is complete down.

It was a perfect evening at Skaket Beach in Cape Cod MA where the time of the sunset and the low tide were perfectly lined up to allow me to take a long stroll on the soft flats. Everybody walked toward to the same direction where heaven and earth met; where the colorful sun reflection and water lines met; where people and nature met; where a beautiful painting were formed, we are all in it.

A hailstorm that pummeled Boston on Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2015. The storm downed trees, knocked out power, damaged so many cars and even an airplane. I drove to Nahant beach right after the tornado warnings were released, and luckily caught this peculiar sunset. 2015年8月4日，一場冰風暴席捲了波士頓地區。冰雹和颶風造成樹木倒塌，多處斷電，很多人的車子甚至一架飛機都被砸壞。風暴警告一結束我就驅車去了Nahant海灘，並幸運的拍到了這個奇特的日落。

Sunrise. I got out of hotel in the morning trying to get some conch shell on the beach for the kids，but found the beautiful sunrise along the sea shore. Then I ran back to hotel to get the camera finally catch this amazing moment. We got a lot of beautiful conch shells, white and red ones, but all got confiscated when crossing the custom/security to guatemala. We ended up with no conch shells but still have pictures at hand. Beautiful Belize, we will be back.
早上起來準備給小朋友在海灘上撿些海螺殼。發現日出狂跑回酒店拿了相機出來拍攝，雖然氣喘籲籲但還好沒有錯過這一美景。我在海灘給小朋友帶回很多海螺殼，白色的紅色的，但過瓜地馬拉海關時被沒收了。沒了海螺殼，還好照片在。美麗的貝里斯，我們還會回來的。

Back to the future 回到未來

We reach Ait Benhaddou late because the incident in gas station, which turn out to be a memoriable story. This ancient fortified village (kasbah) at the sunset time is amazing. This ancient village was established in 757, and it is the shooting place of first star war and many movies. Walking in this thousand year old village gives you a feeling that you are in somewhere outer space in star war, really like walking back to the future.
至今，Ait Benhaddou的黃昏仍像是一個夢幻縈繞在我的記憶裡。我們路上出了些小事耽誤了行程到 Ait Benhaddou（阿伊特·本·哈度）正是日落時分。這是深藏於阿特拉斯山脈中的一座享譽世界的有防禦城堡的村莊，始建於757年，是星球大戰,角鬥士等眾多電影的拍攝地。暮靄塵埃，茫茫荒野，蜿蜒的Ounila河，肅穆、蒼涼、寂寥，這裡是千年的古城鎮，是羅馬角鬥士的戰場，亦或是外星球的人類居住地，進入這個村落仿佛回到了未來…

Foggy Morning
The photo was taken in late Sep. 2001, just couple weeks after 9/11. I visited Boston from Texas and was on a fishing trip. The boat departed from Plymonth Town Wharf in the morning with dense fog. I used a film camera (Nikon N80) to take the shot. Film was developed and negative was scanned.
