Cockroach Infestation Found During Nightmarish Flight To China

Passengers on two separate flights to Kunming last Friday were horrified when infestations of cockroaches were discovered on board mid-flight.

Over 100 of the particular species known as German cockroaches were found at some point during the flight, exactly how long in wasn't revealed. The airline and country of origin for both infested flights have also been withheld from Chinese media, although sources report it was a Chinese airline.

Pest control were called in to catch all of the insects at arrival in Kunming, which are currently being examined for pathogens by the airport's Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau. Airport authorities have since asked the airline involved to improve its hygiene standards on planes in particular those flying in and out of China.

Some jokers have commented that the cockroaches were probably released by the airline to give passengers a realistic Chinese dining experience with their in-flight meal. It's unclear if those aboard the flights were given appropriate compensation for enduring such hell.
