柏林，2020年4月21日-2020年度的IFA柏林國際電子消費品及家電展覽會將以一種新的概念和形式舉辦。柏林政府日前宣布2020年10月24日前禁止舉辦5000人以上的活動。因此，作為全球消費電子及家電行業最重要的展覽會之一，IFA2020將採取新的舉辦形式。
IFA主辦方——德國娛樂與電子通訊工業協會（gfu）及柏林國際展覽有限公司（MesseBerlin），早已預警到上述情況。早在幾周前，主辦方已針對繼續舉辦IFA討論各種不同的展覽概念和形式。
相關計劃已在籌備當中，旨在使IFA繼續為行業發揮其核心功能——成為全球技術創新的展示場所及行業品牌、製造商、零售商、媒體的重要交流平臺。gfu和MesseBerlin將儘快公布IFA2020的展覽新概念和形式。

IFA2020: Set for an innovative concept designed for unprecedented times
Berlin,21 April 2020 – IFA Berlin is set to go ahead in 2020, but withan innovative new concept, following the decision by the Berlingovernment to ban all events with more than 5,000 participants until24 October 2020. As a result, IFA Berlin, the world's mostsignificant trade show for consumer electronics and home appliances,will not be able to go ahead as usual.
Theorganizers of IFA, gfu and Messe Berlin, anticipated this developmentand for several weeks now have been discussing a range of alternativeconcepts.
Planningis well advanced for a concept that will allow IFA to deliver on itscore functions for our industry – as a global showcase fortechnology innovation and an important meeting place for brands,manufacturers, retailers and media. gfu and Messe Berlin willpresent the details of its updated concept for IFA 2020 in the nearfuture.
Hans-JoachimKamp, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of gfu Consumer und HomeElectronics, explains: "We expected this development given theconstantly evolving pandemic and appreciate that we have now a clearregulatory framework that enables us, our partner Messe Berlin, andour exhibitors to make detailed plans for IFA 2020."
