Trump 『bullied』 his way into

『Home Alone 2: Lost in New York』: director

Director Chris Columbus considered cutting Donald Trump out of his holiday comedy sequel 「Home Alone 2″ but audiences kept him in the picture.

With the 1990 Macaulay Culkin franchise turning 30-years-old, Columbus told Insider that when he planned to shoot a scene for his 1992 sequel in the Plaza Hotel lobby, he figured he』d just pay a fee and go to work. Trump, who owned the hotel at the time gave his blessing, but there was a catch.

「We paid the fee, but he also said, 『The only way you can use the Plaza is if I'm in the movie,』」 Columbus recalled.

Columbus shot his film, including a scene in which Trump points Culkin in the right direction, and apparently figured he』d cut the real estate mogul out if need be.

「So we agreed to put him in the movie, and when we screened it for the first time the oddest thing happened: People cheered when Trump showed up on-screen,」 Columbus recalled. 「So I said to my editor, 『Leave him in the movie. It’s a moment for the audience.』」

The scene worked and the movie — which celebrates its 28th anniversary Friday — was a hit.

「But he did bully his way into the movie,」 Columbus stated.

The reality TV star-turned-president didn't always make the cut.

When Oliver Stone was shooting the sequel to his 1987 「Wall Street,」 he wound-up trimming a scene that included Trump running into that film’s main character in a barbershop. A source involved in that project claimed Trump’s vanity cost him a cameo.

「The scene wound up getting cut, probably because you had two guys in a barbershop and one couldn’t have his head touched,」 that source told the Daily News.

Stone said he cut the scene due to 「structural」 issues, but acknowledged Trump in the credits.

Trump was also cut from the version of 「Home Alone 2″ that’s televised in Canada. The CBC said that trim was to make room for commercials.

川普曾經利用自己酒店大老闆的身份，客串過《小鬼當家2》，這七秒的客串也被他視為人生一大榮幸，即使後來身為總統，還不停滴向人吹噓這一豐功偉績。

19年12月24日，川普給駐外美軍吹噓，自己參演了《小鬼當家2》，眾人看到這種電影，就很興奮滴大叫，哎呀，我們在電影裡看到咱們的總統了。

結果加拿大廣播公司（CBC）同月播出的「聖誕電影」《小鬼當家2》中，川普僅有的7秒鏡頭被剪掉了，被裁掉了。
