Cruise Ship to Take to Water in Summer Palace

Two ancient style imperial cruise ships are now at the Summer Palace, one of the best known tourist spots in Beijing. Work on the main hulls is complete and the ships will take to the water this June, giving visitors another treat this summer.

The Beijing based news website bjd.com.cn reports Thursday that one of the boats is decorated with oil paintings and the other is a dragon boat. Both boats went through 13 complicated processes before taking on the style of the Qing dynasty.

Each boat can hold more than 100 passengers and they derive their power from an environmentally friendly propulsion system.    （實習編輯：顧萍）
