　　有點像中文裡的「母親」，

 

　　作為名詞，更多強調的是有血緣關係的「生母」。mother 還能作動詞，表示「溺愛、寵愛」

用 thank you 表達謝謝雖然最實用，但在母親節這天使用難免有點空泛。

Thank you for… 的句型更能具體表達要感謝的事物。

但要注意的是，介系詞 for 後面接的是名詞或動名詞，若接動詞記得只能用動名詞(V-ing) 的形式。
