n.戲法;詭計;技巧;惡作劇
v.欺騙;打扮;玩把戲
主要短語：
1.trick sb into doing sth 誘導某人做某事
例句：He tricked me into stealing my father money.
翻譯：他誘導我偷我爸的錢。
2.play tricks/a trick on sb 捉弄某人
例句：We are playing a trick on the man who keeps bothering us.
翻譯：我們正做弄那個一直煩我們的人。

表「發生」的詞義辨析
1.take place：多指有組織、有計劃發生的事，沒有偶然性。
2.happen：一般用於偶然發生的事或突發事件。
3.occur：譯為「突然想起、發生」相當於happen。
4.come about：多指已發生的事，但不知打為什麼，多用於疑問句和否定句。
5.break out：多指戰爭、災難、爭吵等事件的發生。
※注意：這幾個詞彙均不用於被動語態。
例句：When the gathering took place，he happened to pass by and a new idea occured to him that he should attend it.Suddenly,a quarrel broke out and he wondered how it came about.
翻譯：當集會進行的時候，他剛好路過，突然間他覺得他應該參加。突然間人群中發生了爭吵，他想：這是怎麼回事呢？

1.look forward to 期望、期盼
例句：I am looking forward to receiving your reply.
翻譯：我很期待收到你的回信。
2.sitck to 堅持、遵循、緊跟
例句：You should sitck to your promise.
翻譯：你應該遵守你的諾言。
3.lead to 導致
例句：A lack of prudence may lead to financial proble
翻譯：不夠謹慎可能會導致財政上出現問題。
4.object to 反對
例句：He objects to being treated like a child.
翻譯：他很反對把他當做小孩。
5.refer to 提及、查閱、參考
例句：If you do not know ，you should refer to the dictionary.
翻譯：如果你不懂，你應該查字典。
6.contribute to 促成、是……的成因
例句：This study may contribute to treating anxiety.
翻譯：這項研究可能會有利於治療焦慮症。
7.get down to 開始認真做
例句：You should get down to studying.
※此7個短語中的to都是介詞，其後跟動詞ing形式。

5.turn over 反覆考慮、移交、使翻轉
例句1：Even she didn't say anything ，you could see her turning things over in her mind.
翻譯:1：即便她什麼都沒說，你也能看出她心裡在盤算著。
例句2：I would turn the evidence over to the police.
翻譯2：我會把證據交給警方的。
例句3：Ann turned over in her bed once more.
