For the first time ever, The Shanghai EDITION is launching a multi-sensory Halloween experience allowing guests to indulge and party across the different venue spaces in the luxury establishment. Nightmare Before Halloween will encompass a world-class line up of global names to form an eclectic mix of tastemakers and music providers.
The Illustrious Blacks will be making their debut in Shanghai, the headline act of the evening, which will surely shock the senses. NYC native Sabo who has been killing at Burning Man and global festivals will also be headlining in Shanghai for the 1st time. His label continues to deliver floor-filling bombs for all DJs out there. The 「IT kids」 out there YETI Collective will bring their cooler than cool urban sounds.
Living legend Andrew Bull aka DJ El Toro will helm Canton Disco, a place named after the iconic 1980s club, the Studio 54 of Hong Kong. Modern day renaissance man Tiago Oudman fresh from a killer set at Garbicz will be representing Bali. If you don’t know him, he runs the best parties in Bali called Jungle and Air Festival. Shanghai local, French Native SARFAT – lead by Arthur de Villepain, the son of former French Prime Minister will be representing the Yellow Corner, leading gallery in China and greater China. Joining the lineup are local based French promoters Sound of Shanghai led by S.KIV & Kadwell alongside resident DJs of Electric Circus Fat K & MMQ taking over Roof Garden.
Last but not least, music and nightlife director of The Shanghai EDITION Donn will be on the decks as well as his co-curator Swamy. Swamy is best known as an industry innovator and his work with legendary Robot Heart, one of the world’s best festivals Wonderfruit as well as Hong Kong’s Art Basel with LACMA and UCCA.

Once upon a time, in a galaxy not far away, there lived two kings. Each was the ruler of his own deliciously glorious planet. The first king, Manchildblack, was well known throughout the cosmos for his ethereal vocals, celestial sonics and earthy musical messages. The other king, Monstah Black, was a star in the solar system for his gravity defying performances, gender bending fashions and spacey disposition. One magical night, an inexplicable ultramagnetic pull forced the two planets to collide. A technicolored explosion occurred, turning night into day, with a feast of aural and visual delights. It was then that the universe was changed forever. Manchildblack and Monstah Black united and became The Illustrious Blacks.
With inspiration from other extra terrestrials like Prince, David Bowie, Grace Jones, Boy George and George Clinton, The Illustrious Blacks have arrived with a mission to fuse futuristic funk, hypnotic house and cosmic pop into pulsating positivity for the planet. The real life married couple are not only co-pilots on their artistic voyage, but are united in their fantastical journey through life.
In 2017, The Illustrious Blacks released their highly anticipated debut EP, NeoAfroFuturisticPsychedelicSurrealisticHippy, on Concierge Records. The EP features the high energy single "Blast Off," the seductive "Red Light," the thought provoking "Delusions of Grandeur" and the anthemic "Black Like Jesus." In the same year, the dynamic duo also found time to work with producer Nickodemus on a remake of the 90s dance floor classic "Funk That!," which spawned a popular music video.
The acclaimed duo found even more praise for their epic live shows, which fuse music, dance, theater & fashion as the ingredients to expand minds, shake bootys and save the world one beat at a time. Toward the end of summer 2017, The Illustrious Blacks landed their electrifying live show, Hyperbolic, for a three month residency at the legendary Joe's Pub at The Public Theater.

Tiago 獨特而豐富的音樂表現引起了柏林地下場景的關注，這使他得以在柏林標誌性的俱樂部，例如TAPE, Ritte Butzke, Wilde Renate, BAR 25, Suicide Circus, Kater Holzig以及在柏林的Golden Gate駐場。Tiago也是歐洲老牌音樂節Fusion的常客. 同時他在建築方面的知識在也幫助他和Bachsteltzen crew一起設計和構造了音樂節的舞臺.
Tiago和他的合作夥伴Ricardo Ferreira一起，被挑選在傳奇酒吧BAR 25的閉幕派對上演出. Tiago同時也在繼續巡演的旅途中不斷調整他的音樂風格，並幫助設計一些澳大利亞的大規模獨立音樂節，如Subsonic，以及2012年在Queensland北部的Eclipse festival.

Tiago's uniquely colourful sets have caught the attention of Berlin’s underground, and have brought him toiconic venues such as TAPE, Ritte Butzke, Wilde Renate, BAR 25, Suicide Circus, Kater Holzig and residencies atBerlin’s Golden Gate. Tiago has also frequently played at Europe’s mother festival Fusion, where his knowledgein architecture played a part in designing stages and structures with the Bachsteltzen crew. Along with his fellowcollaborator Ricardo Ferreira, they where out of the select few chosen for the legendary closing party of BAR 25.Tiago continued on tour his tailored tunes and help design stages for some of Australia’s biggest independentmusic festivals such as Subsonic, and the 2012 Eclipse festival in far north Queensland.
Tiago also helps run a stage at Garbicz Festival where he is one of the residents year after year playingalongside people like Seth Troxler, Ricardo Villalobos, and many more.
In the last 5 years Tiago’s passion for music and stage design has brought him down to Bali, where he is one ofthe founding members of Air Festival, a three day festival on the beautiful Gili Air island. Along with a fewother collaborators they have kick started the techno scene in Bali with Air Festival and the Basement Loveparties, having welcomed DJs such as Acid Pauli, Fred P, Steve Bug, Dj Seinfeld, Massimiliano Pagliara, ATA,Thugfucker and many others.
Andrew Bull（又名DJ 「El Toro」）從開創了九龍的傳奇 Canton Disco（1985-92）到啟動包含了Canton Disco, 及叱吒當年香港無數知名夜店. 也擁有在蘭桂坊的知名專業DJ唱片行「Music Boutique Bull」之後，他更是成功推廣了DEPOT – 中國第一個rave party.
在上海的這十多年來，Andrew Bull通過他的公司– Shine Communications掌控了一個品牌活化網，在中國大陸的250多個城市中，每年推動著數百首舞曲和品牌體驗活動. DJ EL TORO在週遊中國乃至世界的同時也在各地演出，獨特的融合了迪斯科，浩室以及各種各樣的內容。2017年，他已經在上海的URVC，Le Baron，The Parrot，CaféSambal，Meka Lounge和Ritz Carlton Pudong Ballroom演出過。

兩兄弟是 YETI OUT 背後的主腦人物，其可謂在東西方地下音樂文化間築起一座橋梁。從 2010 年的倫敦啟程，兩人在過去七年中參與亞洲巡演與派對無數，從曼谷的 BEAM 到上海的 Le Baron，再至香港的 W Hotel，與 FKJ、Soulection、A$AP Mob 的 Cozy Boys、Young Guru 等知名音樂人同臺，毫無疑問成為全球地下音樂圈耳熟能詳的名字。
2018年，YETI的旗下唱片廠牌Silk Road Sounds誕生了，旨在發掘及探索來自全球不同地域的最具影響力地下之聲，並將其整合一體。隨之推出的第一張合輯《Silk Road Sounds VOL.1》，收錄了來自亞洲本土及國際範圍的先鋒音樂人，於「東方」與「西方」音樂世界間築起一座橋梁。包括極富迷幻感的土耳其風格Beats、東京Grime、英國Funky樂、甚至是來自西貢的解構主義電子樂，等具有開拓、革新意義的時代樂風.
演繹這張合輯的音樂人包括近幾年說唱場景興起的兩位年輕人Youngqueenz和Bohan Phoenix、東京Grime勢力的二人組合Double Clapperz、倫敦本土力量Roska、臺灣實驗性說唱新人貍貓Aristophanes與滾石電音旗下製作人Chui Pi邱比的合作、土耳其說唱歌手Mezar Turizm、越南電子音樂人Demon Slayer等，不失為當下多元文化元素相碰撞的創意結晶。
Founded in 2010 in London, YETI OUT is a creative collective that shared a heavy appetite for rare dub vinyls and basement parties. 2017 saw the label-cum-promoters continue their residences at BEAM Bangkok, Arkham and Le Baron Shanghai, while making strides internationally with pop-up parties, collaborating with the likes of Warp Records and streetwear giant Patta.
The brothers behind the YETI OUT collective have been working to bridge the gap between underground scenes from East and West. First kicking things off in London in 2010, the last 7 years have seen Asia Tours and parties with the likes of FKJ, Soulection, A$AP Mob’s Cozy Boys, Young Guru and many more while smashing down genre barriers with residencies at BEAM Bangkok to Le Baron Shanghai.

Having grown up in Paris on his father's eclectic combination of music records, his ever-evolving taste captures the sensibility of imagination through a trip best experienced by listeners with open hearts behind closed eyes. Inspired by his world travels, his music engrained with ethnical influences reveals the passionate explorer that he embodies. This has led him to play at festivals such as Burning Man or Afrikaburn. After 8 years in Hong Kong where he played at Rewind, Cove and Volar, warming up for international artists such as Sebastien Leger, Yokoo or Andhim, he is now based in Shanghai.

He is highly sought after globally for his creative, curation and experience design ability. He's a tastemaker that has influenced many. Always pushing boundaries, his work defies definition.
Swamy has worked with A-listers from tech leader Eric Schmidt, 3 Star Michelin Chef Gaggan, Grammy Winner Skrillex to award winning hotels like The Upper House, NASDAQ listed tech behemoth Netease and innovative casino group Melco Crown, leading galleries like LACMA and UCCA to name but a few. DONN目前擔任上海艾迪遜酒店音樂總監，來自新加坡的DONN可以說是當地音樂圈的風雲人物。多元化的曲風讓他無論是置身地下或商業派對，都能給派對動物們投下一枚重磅音樂炸彈。DONN絕對是一名全能型DJ，從Disco，Deep House到Bass &Techno，都不能逃過他敏銳的雙耳。
早期的DONN，致力於推廣和發展Hip Hop音樂，並為新加坡和馬來西亞的Hip Hop藝術建立起了一座無形的友誼之橋，推動了兩國Hip Hop的發展。同時，DONN也活躍於個大音樂中，2003年開始，與新加坡眾多知名CLUB合作舉辦音樂節，其中就有大家所熟知的新加坡排名第一的lub Zouk在2011年舉辦的Zouk Out音樂節。近幾年，也在國內成功挙辦了國內首個大型戶外電子音樂節STORM風暴音樂節，打開了國內電子音樂節通住國際的大門。
DONN is currently the music curator of the infamous The Shanghai EDITION HOTEL. Don is one of the pioneers who has always been on the forefront of the electronic music scene in Singapore since the 90s. Don made his mark not just as a DJ but as the instigator of a tribe of individuals known as Kinemat; an event agency known for pushing the boundaries of the music scene with awesome events such as RE: percussions, Good Vibration Festival and the Worldwide Music Festival to name a few These events help to push forth new dimensions of possibilities within the nightlife and music scene, giving the Singapore club circuit a much needed boost.
DJ Fat K是上海本土80後。在2012年正式開始了他的DJ生涯。在上海各種大大小小的活動、 酒吧都有他的身影。致力於研究搓盤技術以及挖掘各類不同的派對音樂，擅長各類精選的新/老派Hiphop, FunkSoul, Disco音樂.
DJ Fat K hails from Shanghai Started his DJ career in 2012 Focusing on Scratching techniques and digging the best music that fit all kinds of different crowd. He plays an eclecDc mix of old /new school Hiphop, Funksoul Disco with strong soul influences.

Great enthusiasm for old school music and vinyl digging culture led MMQ into vinyl collecting, beats making and DJing at an early age. His constant motivation to be a DJ comes from his desire to share his knowledge of music and to present memorable sonic soundscapes to the audience. Based on hiphop and other music of black origin, MMQ’s creative sets blend various music styles and genres to make people feel the groove.
