Paul Oakenfold, 保羅奧肯福德, 對於電子音樂的發展扮演著舉足輕重的角色；成長與 North London的他，自小已經非常喜歡音樂，更希望自己的終身職業是關於音樂的。1987年，他連同當時三位 Night Club的 DJ (Danny Rampling、Johnny Walker及Nicky Holloway)來到Ibiza 度假，在當地的"Amnesia" Club內，首次嘗到受到Balearic風格的House，度過了一個重要的夜晚，他們決定把這種音樂帶回英國去!
