A 31-year-old protester who told children Santa Claus is not real has been arrested for trespassing at a North Texas church.

Aaron Urbanski was arrested Saturday after authorities were called to a church in Cleburne, which was hosting a breakfast with Santa event. Police say they found three people demonstrating outside the church after responding to a trespassing complaint.

Christmas in Germany could be less delightful as many regions are suffering a severe shortage of Santas, according to recruitment agencies.

The Berlin Santa Claus Office, which typically receives about 2,500 bookings per year, has now fewer than 200 Santas on its books, down from 500, one of the agency’s employee Petra Henkert told German local media Der Tagesspiegel.

A Norwegian photographer has shared images of a rare white reindeer calf he encountered while hiking with friends.

Mads Nordsveen, 24, from Oslo, said he spotted the animal in the snow on a walk in northern Norway.

The images, where the animal almost fades into the landscape, has now been liked almost 20,000 times since they were posted on Monday.

Sharing the images on Instagram, the photographer commented: "He almost disappeared into the snow!"

Mr Nordsveen told the Caters news agency he spotted the "small, wonderful creature" while walking out in the mountains.
