託馬斯·范(Thomas Fan)，深受愛戴和敬重的巴西柔術教授，於2016年4月被確診患有瀰漫性細胞淋巴瘤第2階段，已接受手術去除癌症的起始區，而醫生亦已開始施用化療以控制癌細胞擴散。
託馬斯·范的家人已支付全部手術和始初的化療費用。但由於家庭保險不包括此類化療或醫療費用，而託馬斯·范亦隨即因接受治療而失去工作能力，估計最少長達6個月。他的治療費用將達港幣300,000元，現邀請各位捐助有關費用。

Thomas Fan, my cocah my best friend, loved and respected Brazilian jiu jitsu Professor, was suddenly diagnosed with Diffuse Large B Cell Lymphoma, stage 2 in late April of 2016. After removing the initial site of the cancer, the doctor prescribed immediate chemotherapy treatment for the spread of the disease.
The Fan family has already paid all surgery costs out of pocket and the start of the chemotherapy. The Fan family's insurance does not cover the needed chemotherapy or medical expenses, and Thomas will be out of work for the duration of treatment, possibly 6 months. The cost for the medical treatments will be over $300,000HKD alone.
