2015年歐排聯男排錦標賽10月9日至18日在保加利亞和義大利的四個城市舉行，半決賽和決賽階段的比賽均在保加利亞的索菲亞舉行。法國隊技冠群雄，最終歷史性地奪得歐錦賽冠軍，這是這項比賽舉辦67年以來，法國隊第一次登頂。由於歐洲幾乎是世界上男排水平最高的地區，再加上之前法國隊在今年的世界男排聯賽奪冠，可以這樣說，法國男排已經加入到男排世界豪門俱樂部，成為一支實力新軍。
早在比賽開始前的8月份，主辦方就發布了今年比賽的主題歌《英雄》的MV。歌曲由Nostradamus和Borislav Boyadzhiev作曲、Nostradamus作詞，由當紅的保加利亞流行歌手尼基-巴克洛夫(Niki Bakalov)演唱。而早在今年二月份的抽籤儀式上，歌手第一次向參賽球隊和球迷演唱這首歌曲。
