After a man surnamed Xue had some crayfish with his friends in a restaurant, he couldn’t get the delicacy off his mind. On the morning of April 15, he rode his scooter to the restaurant and stole some crayfish from the fridge. A week later after he finished eating those crayfish, he went back to the restaurant and stole some more. The restaurant owner called the police, who identified Xue from a CCTV camera. Xue was charged in the Minhang District People’s Procuratorate for stealing more than 15 kilograms of crayfish.
「取戒指出動了消防隊!」
6月20日,上海一位阿姨驚動了2個消防中隊同時出動救援。原來阿姨10指戴有9個戒指,在醫院取下2個後,另外7個必須求助消防員。經過2小時奮戰,終於脫下了所有的戒指。這已是這名「任性」老太第三次因為取戒指向消防官兵求助了。

On June 20, a 70-year-old ayi who wears nine rings on nine of her fingers called firemen to come help her take off the rings because they were stuck. When the firemen arrived at her apartment, they found that the rings were so tight on her fingers that they had to send her to Shanghai First People's Hospital. It took medics two hours to saw off the rings with a cutting tool. A fireman surnamed Liu said the old lady is in danger of amputation if she doesn't recover. This was her third time to ask firemen for help to take off her rings.
「遊泳館現在煥然一新!」
虹口遊泳池是目前上海最古老的遊泳池,已經擁有95年的歷史。虹口遊泳池經過整治後重新煥發新顏,將於本周六對外開放。最大的變化是,遊泳池旁邊新增了一個開闊的綠化平臺。在改建之前,綠化平臺位置原本是一排商戶,有許多髒亂差的燒烤攤店。如今遊泳館每天分日場(9時至17時)和夜場(17時至21時)。其中成人日場票價為40元,夜場票價為45元。

Hongkou Swimming Pool, the oldest pool in Shanghai, will open to the public Saturday after six months of renovation. The biggest change to the 95-year-old swimming facility is that there will now be a grass lawn next to the pool for sun loungers to enjoy, a much-requested upgrade from the old, dirty poolside barbecue. The entrance fee for adults during the daytime from 9 am to 5 pm is 40 yuan ($5.90); 45 yuan from 5 pm to 9 pm.

6月28號,軌交虹橋火車站站的出站閘機位置,一名男子走到閘機前,熟練地打開箱蓋,隨後就站在閘機旁,開始指揮乘客出站。只要看到出站的乘客手中拿的是地鐵一次性車票,他就引導他們走他關閉的這個出站閘機。這名男子在五分鐘時間裡,從乘客手中收走了上百張車票。民警介紹,違法嫌疑人收取了這些地鐵車票以後,就會拿去地鐵服務中心進行退票處理,賺取票錢。
「He was pretending to be subway staff.」
On June 28, a man broke open a ticket gate at subway Line 5’s Hongqiao Railway Station. He then pretended to be subway staff and guided passengers who were holding a one-way ticket to leave through the broken gate and took their tickets from them. In just 5 minutes, the man collected over 100 tickets. According to police, the suspect sought refunds with these tickets at the subway’s service center. The police detained him and four other people who were caught loitering around subway stations in order to make illegal gains from refunding tickets.
「那人乞討要我『掃一掃』付款。」
上周六晚,楊先生正在上海火車站候車,此時,一名青年男子向他伸手討要錢財,用手指向自己的嘴巴和耳朵,又搖搖頭表示自己是聾啞人。楊先生表示自己沒有零錢,但該男子居然拿出一張貼有二維碼的卡片紙,要求其「掃一掃」付款。經民警查證,該老家在甘肅,身體健康並非聾啞人,他看到老鄉中有人在上海乞討,收入還行便也加入了乞討的行列。用掃二維碼的卡片紙進行乞討,是其自己想出來的,因為現在很多人都喜歡看手機,這樣可能更容易討到錢。

A train passenger surnamed Yang waiting at Shanghai Railway Station on Saturday night was solicited by young panhandler who pointed at his mouth and ear, meaning he was deaf. After Yang said he didn’t have loose change, the young man took out a card with a WeChat and Alipay QR code on it and urged Yang to pay with his phone. Railway police finally apprehended the beggar, who told them that he had just arrived from Gansu Province. He used a QR code to beg because he thought it would be easier for him to earn money here, as local people always use their mobile phones.
