文一：Wen YiTao 愛的奉獻，我們在路上
這是個特別的假期，新冠疫情破壞了我們出國旅行的計劃。可是，這麼長的假日，總要做些有意義的事情吧。我想到去幫助老人獻愛心。剛巧，有個機會可以讓我實現願望，因為有些老人家裡窮買不起飯，或是有身體缺陷，自己做不了飯，老人院提供食物給他們吃。因此，我約了幾個同學，我們一起為老人家們送餐，讓他們能有溫暖可口的飯吃。我們的送飯過程，不是暴曬就是雨淋，很辛苦，還要走很遠的路，但是當看見老人開心的笑容，我心裡充滿歡喜，一路的辛苦傾刻煙消雲散。書上說，老吾老以及人之老，老人需要社會的幫助。更讓我感到欣慰的是，我和同伴們都能夠懷著善良的愛心，風雨無阻，堅持到底，按時把食物送到老人手中。那首歌忽然在我耳畔迴響，如果人人都獻出一點愛，世界將變成美好的人間。以後，在學習之餘，只要有時間，我都會加入義工的行列，為溫馨的家園儘自己的一份力。
Due to the coronavirus crisis, we are unable to travel overseas. So, during my spare time, me and my family wanted to do something of value that could benefit others. As if on cue, I had a chance to deliver food to those elderly who has either disability or needs financial aid. I wanted let them enjoy a free, warm, delicious meal that they won't have to worry about. During the whole event, it was hard to deliver the food to the old folks due to inclement weather, the scorching sun, paired up with the fact that some buildings are just too far from the starting point and some are just out of plain sight. However, after seeing the satisfaction on the old folks face, it makes all the hardship worthwhile. What makes it even more heartwarming is that there is also a group of like-minded individuals who also wants to benefit others, who is also willing to bear the long distances and the punishing weather just to help others in need. If everyone was to just take some time to help someone else, to make someone else's day, I believe the world would be a beautiful place. Also, while I continue studying, i will still continue to help those who is in need by participating in this kind of projects and events.
文二：Vincent Ma wenxi 樂善義工，悅人悅己
12月10日，我第一次參加義工活動，給老人家或殘障人士送飯。在此之前，我雖然知道新加坡存在著各個階層，卻不知道有如此多的人缺乏照顧，需要外界的幫忙。直到12月30日，我共參加了五次。每次活動過後，我都深切地體會到我有能力幫助有需要的人是一件多麼幸福的事情，而像我這樣參加義工的人又是非常踴躍，令人欣慰。參加義工活動不僅幫助到別人，還讓我和一起參加的朋友共同成長！
I first attended the Value in Action activity on 10 December to help the people in need by delivering food to them. Although I knew there were many different types of living conditions in Singapore but did not expect that many people in need. I have attended this activity 5 times since then and I feel very happy every time when giving help. I was also delighted to see many people willing to participate in this activity. Attending this activity not only helped others but also allowed my friends and me to grow.
文三：Zeng Lin 簡單快樂，無怨無悔
這個假期,我和幾個夥伴一起參加了幾次送餐活動，感到十分歡樂。這不但幫助了老者，還磨練了我的意志。一直都在父母庇護下的我從此理解了什麼叫做「責任心」。雖然有點不甘願要早起，但當看到老人所流露出的燦爛微笑，便讓我感到一切付出都是值得的。早晨來到組屋樓下，在簡短分配工作後,大家都默契地送出一盒又一盒的午餐。每當有人在找尋單元號碼遇到困難時，組屋樓下的人總會伸出援手。老人們也大都十分熱情，但也有老人並不會過多的和我們交談。特別有一位奶奶讓我牢記在心。那是我第三次送餐，找到那位奶奶的住所時，她已經坐在門前等候。我走上前時，她立刻露出璀璨奪目的笑容。我將飯遞給她的時候，她招呼我進入她的屋裡，我怕她麻煩拒絕了，但她還是和我相談甚歡。助人是人格升華的標誌，此次活動不僅能夠貢獻我自己的一分力量，還能夠磨練自己的意志力。由於我在這個活動中還算是新手，大家都耐心的、輕言細語地為我指路。以後如果有機會，我還會無怨無悔地參加，用自己的行動給老人們帶去希望和歡樂！
Though disrupted by the COVID-19 crisis, my classmates and I decided to make this holiday meaningful. We chanced upon this activity to deliver food to those with disabilities and financial difficulties. Providing them with a warm meal will definitely lift off a lot of pressure from them. What I thought would be an easy event grew in difficulty with the heavy rain and scorching sun. Some buildings were far off while some were just nearby. All of these factors paired together made the deliveries much more difficult. Yet I felt like it was all worth it when I saw the grateful look and dazzling smile on the old folk’s face. It was made even easier when paired with experienced and helpful people who also strive to make someone else’s day. With like minded people working by my side, I feel that as long as everyone do their part to help anyone they can, the world would become a much better place. I would definitely wish to attend such an activity again.
