Vaporwave的視覺風格，「它涵蓋Glitche藝術、古典雕塑、90年代的網站設計，陳舊的電腦效果和經典賽博朋克美學」，日本文字和其他一些非西方的元素也經常運用,現在Vaporwave視覺應該已經沒有什麼標準化的概念，但上述這些東西還是最重要的素材來源。
Vaporwave's visual style, "which covers Glitche art, classical sculpture, website design in the 1990s, obsolete computer effects and classical cyberpunk aesthetics," is often used in Japanese and other non-Western elements. There should be no standardized concept for Vaporwave vision now, but these are the most important sources of material.

蒸汽波遠離活生生的事物，在對短暫歷史的懷舊中感受現代，它就好比浮在水上的油膜，是迷幻網上衝浪與過往記憶的結合。不論是音樂還是視覺藝術，蒸汽波藝術家們樂此不疲地將80、90年代的流行音樂採樣重構、拼貼在一起，所追求的大概是那個年代那種如夢初醒的美好吧。
Steam waves are far away from living things and feel modern in the nostalgia for short history. They are like oil film floating on water, a combination of surfing on thepsychedelic web and past memories. Whether it's music or visual art, Steam Wave artists have been relentlessly reconstructing and collating samples of pop music from the 1980s and 1990s, mostly in pursuit of the dream-like beauty of that era.

《Privacy》MV是收錄在李宇春2017全新創作專輯《流行》中的一首歌曲。由李宇春攜手美籍華裔音樂人ZHU共同創作併合唱。而MV則運用「蒸汽波藝術」的視覺風格，呈現了一支趣味十足的音樂創意影像。MV由韓國青年攝影藝術家Wonjun Jeong擔任導演，畫面緊扣歌詞主題「隱私」，運用「蒸汽波藝術」的視覺風格，將監視器、眼睛、電腦不斷彈出的窗口等搭建出「監視」的氛圍，復古又先鋒。導演Wonjun Jeong在與李宇春合作《Privacy》前從未拍過MV。他稱此次拍攝是「很有實驗性」的一次嘗試，並稱讚：「李宇春是一個很有熱情，很願意嘗試新鮮事物的人。」
Privacy MV is a song included in Li Yuchun's 2017 new album, pop. Li Yuchun co authored and choral with Chinese American musician ZHU. And MV uses the visual style of "Steam Wave Art" to present an interesting creative image of music. The MV is directed by South Korean young photographer Wonjun Jeong, whose pictures are closely linked to the lyric theme "Privacy" and use the visual style of "Steam Wave Art" to create a "surveillance" atmosphere with monitors, eyes, computer pop-up windows and so on. Director Wonjun Jeong never filmed MV before he co worked with Li Yuchun in Privacy. He called the shooting an "experimental" attempt and praised "Li Yuchun is a very enthusiastic person who is willing to try something new."
