he squad captained by A. Song of Year 10 Dove travelled to SUIS in Shanghai and even a 5.45am departure did not deter them.
Usually SSSA only allow 12 players in a team but the other coaches kindly agreed to our request to take a few more in a display of much appreciated good sportsmanship. At training the girls said they all wanted to go and the prospect of leaving a few behind saddened them.
As it was 7 aside games around the half way mark one Wycombe Abbey team swapped with the other. The girls showed great determination and character and although the score line saw them runners up each match they never gave up.
Midfielder A. Song and striker D. Wang even scored a goal each much to the delight of their team mates.
For their efforts, superb behavior and good nature Wycombe Abbey girls were awarded the 『Sporting Award』 by the other coaches.
Naturally after a morning's excursion the girls needed to re-fuel and a quick stop for ice cream and a burger at KFC did just the trick.
