我們都知道，英女王伊莉莎白二世是目前年齡最大的君主。她今年已經94歲，在位長達68年，被稱為最長待機的君主。
英女王雖然已經年近百歲，但是身體依然十分健康，似乎還能在這個位置上再幹上好多年，也一直沒有退位的意思。
隨著英女王在位的時間越來越長，她的大兒子查爾斯等待繼位的時間也就越來越長。
查爾斯今年已經72歲，都比英國退休的年齡要大了。他一直等著王位，卻一直等不來，被民眾調侃稱為"最老王儲"。
近日，王室專家Robert Jobson在節目上表示，英女王將會在明年95歲時退休，把王位讓給查爾斯。
英國《太陽報》也透露，女王正考慮在2021年她95歲時退休，屆時王儲查爾斯將成為攝政王。
儘管這一消息還未得到官方回應，但不少媒體紛紛認為女王退位的可能性很大，她的丈夫愛丁堡公爵菲利普親王也是在95歲時宣布退休。

He said: "I still firmly believe when the Queen becomes 95, that she will step down."

Royal historian Dr. Anna Whitelock, author of Elizabeth's Bedfellows, replied: "Do you not think there's more likely to be a kind of Regency Act? He will act in her steed as a regent figure but she won't formally abdicate."
