中國風景， 是開始於2012年的拍攝計劃。

以探討景觀 （landscape） 與人之間關

係為目的的創作行為。

Subtle relationship between the natural surroundings and the formation of the human nature is the motif of the photographer.

South-West China is famous for its mountains. People live in them, depend on them, admire and worship them, frightened by them, try to conquer or escape from them. Humanity are shaped by them.

Many places，personalities and characters are rarely seen in photography for the south-west mountains of China. If consistently collect them, you may create a whole new system to analyze and to see the Nation which can lead to the strongest subjective concept at last.

Vast lands of China includes dramatically different terrains, mountains, plains, grass lands, deserts, coast lines. Not like those commercial oriented countries, politics play crucial part in the formation of the Chinese culture and national character. But reasons of the politics can always be found in the country’s natural surroundings. How to unite the country into one when facing so different terrains, that leads to the cultural policy and present cultural state. The formation of China as one country is with considering these mountains, or deeply influenced by these mountains politically and culturally, even until today.

The photos mostly are taken in Tibet, but maybe you can find it’s not that Tibet comparing the commonly seen photos on Tibet which may be more beautiful.  

The land decides humanity. Beautiful places cultivate pure and even simple dimension culture. Pilgrimage happens here. The unique places just resemble the most pure part in man’s deep heart inside. But It still becomes scenery only when people think so. The photographer’s scenery is the result of the intervening by the photographer, that’s why these photos may not look like Tibet. But he still try to keep it not obvious for he think that’s more of what photography is good at. That’s the process of subjective and objective things happen together for this project.

Chinese Scenery: 

REAL WORLD----Northeast China

Photograpy is the best way to show the real world. Plastic things look artificial. The photographer use a plastic toy camera to shoot for the project.

The world we are living in shaped us, our characters, personality, values in our heart, even the looks. The world is something real, that’s what we call the reality is. But the world is never that real. It is always beyond our imagination or expectation. What’s happening in this world, what’s existing in this world everyday and everywhere often makes us realize it’s not like reality. Sometimes the world we rarely go to is like dream to us, sometime we go there to explore these dreams. The 1st series of this project happen in a place where Chinese people have more dreams and where nights are the longest in China XING』ANLING, north-east China, where lays deep forests.

Unlike the fast development of other area in China, it is economically undeveloped here. People  there are famous for immigrating to other places of China to seek the vitality of life, those still stay here sometimes give up the seeking. They are tough, but maybe they are sad. They have long nights. Sun is never in the middle of the sky. It is common to some nation, but it is a great challenge to the traditional Chinese, especially to ethnic HAN people.

Some toy bears are hanged on the trees by the road, you can even tell the difference of their gender and ages, why are they here? Duzh was told that the bears are for the family who move here and died in fire accident. But their neighbors are not familiar with them since they live in a new village. So somebody just hang the toy bears to show the mourning. It’s like a unreal real story.  

The REAL WORLD as a long term project is not about the tragedy only. It more focus on relationship between the audience and the places, and the relationship is due to the photographer who is more like a decision maker, which means what the REAL WORLD show to us is a conspiracy of the three.
