A lot of these guys you people are listing aren't superstars. Just because you made the all-star team once or twice, doesn't make you a superstar.
Joe Johnson may or may not barely pass the superstar test in his prime. Superstar doesn't mean numbers alone. Means notoriety in the public eye. Someone non basketball fans probably have heard of. Andre Igoudola has had a great career, but he never was and never will be a superstar.
Melo might be a good one if the Knicks are never good and he's with them for the rest of his career.

My best bet is Carmelo Anthony.
Overshadowed by LeBron James since draft day, Melo evolved into one of the best scorers the league has ever seen, only to be overshadowed once more by another generational scorer in Kevin Durant.
He is still an amazing player, but bad career decisions made him sulk in a tanking team. I strongly believe this would be way different if he had chosen Chicago instead of New York.

Carmelo led the league in scoring one time and is only fourth among active players for career points per game.
At 31 years old, his ppg is only likely to keep going down and he didn't really put up great stats otherwise.
Carmelo is Bernard King, he's Alex English. No one talks about those guys anymore. And Carmelo will go that way too.

idk about that. yea he was overshadowed by Bron but he has always been a very flashy scorer and playing for NY will probably make people not forget about him. Also he led those Denver Thuggit teams for a while so i think he will still get talked about as one of the best scorers of all time

My father, aunts, and uncles all love Bernard King and speak of him with a reverence and admiration that I simply do not think many people will feel for Carmelo after he has been retired for a while. （翻譯題）

I saw Antawn Jamison at a japanese steakhouse this summer. I didn't say hi or bother him because he was with his family. But I was definitely starstruck. Then I texted my friends to say I had just seen Antawn Jamison, and they were like.. oh. ok. Not exactly the reaction I was expecting, but maybe that's how most people see him.

I agree with you that CP3 will be remembered. But I don't agree with the Stockton argument. Stockton has two of the most unbeatable records in history. All time assist and steals leader. Those 2 records will make sure he's never forgotten.
