來自中文的英文：
中國的道教觀念傳到國外，英文當中沒有相對應的字，當然他們也沒有陰陽的概念，就直接借中文的音。道教的英文 」Taoism/Daoism」 也是跟中文相似喔
EX: Traditional Chinese philosophy embraced these as yin and yang, each of which contain the seed of the other.
2.Paper tiger
紙老虎
這個是很有趣的中譯英而來的片語，英文中也表達了跟中文一樣的意思喔。紙老虎只的是外表看似強大，其實毫無內涵的東西。
EX: A general thrust of my argument is that the postmodern turn in anthropology threatens to be a paper tiger.
3.Running dog
走狗
跟紙老虎有異曲同工之妙的就是這個字了：running dog，直接從中文翻譯成英文，並且跟中文用法一樣呢。
EX: For decades, the party railed against people it called running dogs of capitalism.
4.Feng shui
風水
這個字，是從中文直接音譯。風水在西方當中已經被歸納為環境自然科學裡頭囉。
EX: Next you』ll be running courses on astrology, dowsing and feng shui.
另外，如果要表達「看風水」，並不是用 See Feng Shui 喔，而是用「Practice geomancy」 其中的 geomancy 也有 」風水的意思」
5.Mah-jong
麻將
沒錯，就是我們過年一定要摸上幾把的國粹麻將，以後要表達，直接音譯就行了！
EX: The elderly like Chinese opera, drama, classical music, and playing mah-jong.
那索子、筒子、張、洗牌，等等專業術語又要怎麼說呢？
張：Tile (一張麻將的牌面)
索子：Bamboo Tile:
筒子：Dot Tile
萬子：Character Tile
莊家：Dealer/ Banker
洗牌：Shuffle
明槓/暗槓：Exposed / Concealed Kong
來自日文的英文：
Sushi這個英文字大家都知道是從日文直接音譯而來，太簡單了，我來們學點別的！
6.Tycoon
大亨、巨頭
來自日文 」taikun」，原意指的是大臣、將軍的意思。
EX: He knew as well as I did that we are up against not just a business tycoon but a powerful politician.
來自法文的英文：

菜餚
這字在法文還有廚房的意思。
EX: I feel robbed that I didn’t eat authentic Thai cuisine until the age of 27
8.Chateau
（尤指法國的）別墅，莊園
許多法國紅酒的名字以chateau開頭，chateau在法文中有酒莊的意思，注意chateau一詞中ch的發音應為sh。
EX: They visited some ancient chateau while they stayed in France .
