2002年姚明作為狀元進入NBA，經過9個賽季的拼搏和發展，最終在2011年宣布退役。最近有個話題在美國JRs之聲上熱議，【假如姚明參加的是2003年選秀，當他遇到被稱為「03白金一代」的詹姆斯，安東尼，韋德，波什，卡曼等人時，會排在什麼位置呢？】
Did Yao become the 1st pick in 2002 draft just because there were not real good prospects that year?
Put him into the 2003 draft, where would he get drafted? Was Yao good enough to be drafted higher than Darko Milicic, Melo andDwyane Wade?
Obviously 1st pick was always the chosen one in any given year.
姚明成為02年的狀元秀只是因為在當時沒有特別好的天賦球員嗎？
把他放進03年選秀，他會在哪兒被選走呢? 姚明足夠好到在米利西奇，甜瓜和韋德之上被選走嗎?
顯然在任何一年天選之子都是狀元秀的不二人選。

In Yao's case, I blame summer China games. The dude should've gotten rest instead of playing nearly a full year of games over and over.

Yes, he was good enough. He would go 2nd in the 2003 draft.
Yao basically was born and raised to be a basketball player and he was very very good. Injuries fucked him unfortunately.

You have to consider what Darko was projected as before the draft, not what we know now in hindsight.
你必須得考慮到米利西奇當選在選秀之前的熱度，而並不是我們馬後炮來看怎麼選。
I remember both drafts very well. The Yao hype was bigger than the Darko hype, but not so much that in saying "Did you seriously ask if Yao was good enough to be drafted overDarko Milicic?"
If both were in the 2003 draft, I would predict Yao would be the #2, but there would be some noise for Darko going at that spot as well.
2002和2003年兩次選秀我都記得。 姚明的行情呼聲確實比米裡西奇要火，但也並沒有到「開玩笑吧，你居然問姚明能不能好到超過米利西奇的選秀行情」的地步。
如果他們都在03年選秀的話，我預測姚明會在榜眼秀，但米利西奇當選榜眼的呼聲也會有一些的。
The Yao hype was crazy, especially when you bring in the fact that you'd tap into a new fanbase upon getting him
姚明當時的熱度太瘋狂了，特別是你再考慮到選到他就意味著你的新球迷基數會爆表增長。
The Yao hype was real but thinking he would go over Lebron is silly I think. There has been nothing like Lebron coming out of high school and I doubt there ever will be again.

They stopped calling it the "lottery" and started calling it the Lebron lottery. Because whoever won would get Lebron.iirc, a scout said they would have taken Lebron at #1 when Lebron was in grade 10 (he thought it was a lock).Grade 10!!!
當時人們都不管選秀抽籤叫「樂透」了，直接就叫樂邦籤了。因為不管誰贏都會選樂邦。如果我沒記錯的話，一個球探說過，即時勒布朗是在十年級時參選他也會在狀元被選中。（他覺得這是板上釘釘的事）。 十年級啊！！！有沒有搞錯
Yao had huge hype as a prospect coming in and was picked 1st overall because he was really really good at basketball. And honestly, could've been an all time great if he stayed healthy, but that just wasn't happening at his size.
姚明參選時的熱度超級火爆，他之所以是狀元是因為他籃球打得真的特別好。 平胸而論，如果他保持健康的話，他會成為歷史級的偉大球員，但以他那樣的身材是很難不受傷的。
Yao would've been #2 in 03, maybe #1 if his hype outweight LeBron hype. 7'6 prospects with skills are rare.
He was straight killing it in China against inferior competition. I mean it was slaughter out in China.
姚明會在03年當選榜眼，如果他的熱度能超過勒布朗，狀元也未可知呢。 7尺6的還有技術的天賦球員是非常罕見的。
在他朝的競技水平下姚明是大殺特殺的存在。沒誇張，真的是屠殺級的存在。

青春裡都是看著火箭看著大姚，多想再能有一次機會和一幫小夥伴，守著學校外的餐館電視，圍坐著，只為多看一兩分鐘火箭比賽，看姚明轉身、勾手、後仰、扣籃、背後運球、罰球。。。。。
