3人物背景
下面我們來介紹下主講嘉賓俞棟博士：微軟研究院Principal Researcher，主攻語音識別，IEEE語音和語言處理技術委員會member。

Dr. Dong Yu is a principal researcher at Microsoft Research. CNTK (Github > 5k stars) first author. His research has been focusing on speech recognition and applications of machine learning techniques. He has published two monographs and over 150 papers in these areas and is the inventor/co-inventor of near 60 granted/pending patents. His recent work on the context-dependent deep neural network hidden Markov model (CD-DNN-HMM), which was recognized by the IEEE SPS 2013 best paper award, caused a paradigm shift on large vocabulary speech recognition.
Dr. Dong Yu is currently serving as a member of the IEEE Speech and Language Processing Technical Committee (2013-). He has served as an associate editor of IEEE transactions on audio, speech, and language processing (2011-2015), an associate editor of IEEE signal processing magazine (2008-2011), and the lead guest editor of IEEE transactions on audio, speech, and language processing - special issue on deep learning for speech and language processing (2010-2011).
上面介紹可能好多人看得有些雲裡霧裡的，我用中文來介紹下。
俞老師作為語音識別和機器學習領域著名專家，首次將深度學習技術成功引入大規模連續語音識別系統，取得突破性進展，相關論文被評為2013年IEEE SPS最佳論文，開創了語音識別的深度學習時代。
CNTK (Computational Network Toolkit)項目，https://github.com/Microsoft/CNTK，是微軟的開源人工智慧基礎架構，從16年1月底正式開源到現在才短短幾個月，在上Github已經累積超過5千個星星。而CNTK的最原始的Paper的第一作者就是咱們的俞老師。
俞老師很早就開始研究深度學習，我們來看看下面這個2009年的研討會：
俺不是AI領域的人，所以好奇在網上查了查其它兩位專家。不查不知道，一查嚇一跳：
鄧力，微軟研究院人工智慧首席科學家，美國 IEEE 電氣和電子工程師協會院士。2015年，鄧力憑藉在深度學習與自動語音識別方向做出的傑出貢獻，榮獲 IEEE 技術成就獎。鄧力首次提出並解決將深度神經網絡應用到大規模語言識別中，這一實踐顯著提高了機器對語音的識別率，極大推動了人機互動領域的發展與進步。

4主講內容
本次活動講啥呢？俞老師說：
Deep learning is a newly emerged area of research in machine learning. In the recent years it has led to huge success in a variety of areas such as speech recognition, image classification, and natural language processing.
In this talk, I will introduce the basic concept of deep learning and describe the key models such as deep neural networks, convolutional neural networks, and long short-term memory recurrent networks. I will illustrate the core design principles of deep learning models when introducing these and other new models.
