日期
日期的寫法和讀法稍有不同——
如「十月一日」可以寫成 October 1、October 1st、1 October、1st October、(the) 1st of October 等。
但是在口語中通常只有兩種讀法：October (the) first或the first of October
【注】日期與星期排列時，通常是星期在前，日期在後。如：
He arrived on Friday, May 10.
他於5月10日（星期五）到達。
時間
英語中時間的表達方法主要有直接法和借用介詞法等。
（1）直接法
上午八點 eight AM （a.m.）
下午九點 nine PM （p.m.）
六點六分 six six
六點三十二 six thirty two
八點整 eight o'clock
（2）借用介詞法
八點四十五 a quarter to nine
七點零五分 five past seven
七點五十四 six to eight
六點半 half past six
（3）表示整點的用法
十一點整
at 11 o'clock sharp、at 11 o'clock on the hour、at 11 o'clock on the strike
正午12點 at noon
午夜12點 at midnight
另——
12點22分可讀作：twelve twenty-two
1點15可讀作：one fifteen
8點50分可讀作：eight fifty
1點40分可讀作：one forty
提前半小時：half an hour early、thirty minutes early、early by half an hour、half an hour ahead of time、half an hour ahead of schedule
