Dafu Mountain Forest Park is situated 3 kilometers (about 1.86 miles) west of Panyu District Bridge, Guangzhou City. The main peak of Dafu Mountain, which is the second highest peak in Panyu District, is 222.6 meters above the sea level.
Natural lakes and artificial lakes add in to the beauty of the park. It is a free leisure park and the environment is very good with fresh air and place suitable for walk and exercise. One can also take a boat trip, do cycling and enjoy fishing and barbecue in this park.
The Park is full of lovely and beautiful flowers; you can smell the fragrance while walking there. Beside flowers, many kinds of Palmae plants create a tropical picture. Birds' twittering adds to the natural atmosphere of the park, one feels inners peace while hearing them.
The reason why the park is called this name is that it is the second highest peak of Panyu district. There are large and small mountain ponds scattered with artificial lakes, which form the peak of love and the reflection of lake light.
The road here is airy and the bicycling is safe and good. You can enjoy riding bicycle while looking at the beautiful scenery.
The cost is about 10 RMB for renting bicycles and 20 RMB for bicycles for reference. If you want to find a place to walk and relax, it's a good place. The place is not recommended for holidays pass, as there are a lot of people.
The place which is also known as "Oxygen bar of Panyu District", does not asks for any entrance fee and parking fee. However, the scenery in Dafu Mountain Forest Park is no less beautiful than other parks who charge entrance fee.
So, on weekends, people can come to Dafu Mountain Forest Park for a walk, appreciating the scenery along the road and enjoy the fresh air.
There are two options of going there. You can either take the Bus 288 to directly go to Dafu Mountain Forest Park north gate or you can also take Subway Line 3 to Hanxi Changlong Station and then transfer to bus 109, 125 or 10A and get off at Jinxiu Ecological Park or Dafushan north gate station.
