Accommodation
住宿問題，恐怕是各位學生出國後考慮的第一個問題了。雅思聽力考試既然強調場景的真實性，考題就免不了經常涉及本場景。本場景涉及的內容廣泛，不但涉及租房，學校住宿問題，還可能包括房屋保險，搬家，房屋設備報修等等延伸內容。對詞彙的把握，藉助場景的貫穿，才能形成系統性，然後在考到本場景的時候，不但可以胸有成竹，還可以準確預測答案信息呢!現在，將本場景的詞彙細分為：
1. People Involved 相關人士：
租房的時候，難免涉及些牽線人，如：「house agency房產代理公司，house agent 房產代理人」;這些牽線人必然要聯繫「landlord 房東(landlady 女房東)」;最後跟我們這些「tenant=lodger=renter=roomer(美式)房客」談論細節。
2. Type of Accommodation 租房類型
住宿類型依各人經濟及喜好而定，有住在學校「halls of residence 集體宿舍 或student hostel 學生公寓或dormitory 宿舍」的;還有自己去外面租房子的：有經濟能力並想快速提高英語的去「homestay 在當地居民家中住宿」;也可以租幢「house房子」來住，裡面有「garden 花園，courtyard 院子，garage 車庫，swimming pool遊泳池，fountain 噴泉，balcony 陽臺，en-suite facilities 全套設施」(注意en suite的讀音，來自法語，讀法特殊)等等;還可以租套「flat=apartment公寓」或者「studio apartment 單身公寓」或者「bedsit 臥室兼起居室」來住;囊中羞澀點的租「single room 單人間，double room=twin room 雙人間，triple room 三人間」也就湊合吧。
3. Location 房屋地理位置
房屋位置是我們租房子一定得考慮的問題，這將決定我們上學或工作的方便與否。那麼，有的人喜歡風水論或者有看風景的偏好，就會要求位置在「east 東面，west 西面，south 南面，north 北面，southeast 東南，southwest 西南，northeast東北，northwest 西北」為上;喜歡價錢便宜點，空氣好的，最好住在「suburb=outskirts 郊區，countryside 郊外」;喜歡熱鬧，出行方便點的最好選擇「city centre=downtown 市中心，urban area 市區」。
4. Surrounding Facilities 周邊設施
交通和周圍的環境也是決定租房意向的重要因素之一。關於這些，我們得掌握：

租房時，難免談論到房屋的結構，不怕一萬就怕萬一，所以大家還是乖乖背吧!
